You started me on the intermittent fasting. It's so easy if doing it right. I have lost over 50 lbs and have lowered my cholesterol back into normal range. One of the better days of my life is when I came across your videos. I started when you first got Pollex and have been a supporter since. You're like the girlfriend I can visit on Tuesday's, Friday's and your Live's. Thank You!❤

First of all, Renee, you are a top influencer! I am so motivated to do, to buy, to copy all you say but I can’t. If only I could turn the clock back…. I am 78 and I know part of my problem is my age. I’m 5’2” and weigh 213 lbs! I have gained gradually since I got married at 22 when I was 110 lbs, but I’m not giving up and yesterday I committed to stop the sweets. I know what you said about what committed means (your statement in that video about commitment hit me hard). You’re right about stretching and I can tell you if I got in the floor I would not be able to get up due to arthritis pain. I have bone-on-bone knees, lymphedema in left leg. I have a treadmill, rebounder and recently bought an expensive Power Plate vibration machine. I don’t want to be obese! So, I just wanted to thank you and tell you it’s wonderful that you have it together and want to share it. I HAVE to stay committed and I know things will start looking up for me.

I'm so proud of you!!! You can absolutely do anything you set your mind to. It's such a coincidence you bring up commitment because I was just talking with my daughter this morning about this very thing. "Commitment is what transforms a promise into reality". It's so very true. Now that you've made up your mind....you are heading the in the right direction. Take your time. Slow and steady wins the race. Don't beat yourself up if you have a bad day, miss an exercise, or eat dessert. It's life. Enjoy your life but gain control. Best of luck and I'd love for you to keep me posted 💕

It's never too late to turn things around with the will of mind over the body. If there is a will, there is a way.We need to keep in mind that we eat to live and not live to eat.We do not need much food to survive and even if we can not go for outside walks, we can walk in place & make those needed steps count. Our body is meant to move just like a man made or natural running stream of water,& not be stagnant to rust and rut.

Thank you for sharing! We must be related! I'm 75 and have been practicing most all of the things you do each day for many years! I too, ate oatmeal with blueberries for years and eventually realized that it was bloating me up! I now eat Ratio Protein yogurt with blueberries every morning. I was gluten and dairy (except yogurt ) intolerant for 9 years, so I never really had too many carbs. I can eat it now, in small amounts, so I still don't worry about the carb thing. I do focus that I get at least 25 grams of protein at each meal. I also walk and do yoga every day and do not eat anything after dinner. And, would never think of going to bed without brushing my teeth, washing my face and using good moisturizers.

I love your videos Renee. Thank you for sharing this video with us. :) I stay fit by attending my advanced performance Hula classes, and my Tahitian Dance Class gets my heartrate up...I love it. It's great that I can still "shake my booty" & keep up with all the young gals. LOL! That is my way to stay fit. I taught Jazzercise in my 20's and continued to teach throughout my first pregnancy and worked at The Cross Cancer Institute here in my city. Doing that job and teaching 4 nights a week....6 times a week when my fellow Jazzercise instructor injured her shoulder. I was 110 pounds. No longer 110 1bs...but, at a very good weight now, for my post menopausal self at 62, turning 63 in November. :) I love to feel good about my health...we all have to be advocates for our own health, as we gracefully grow older. I'm loving my empty-nester life. I can do what I want, when I want, with whoever I want. Following my own passions after I did for everyone else. I also sing with a 150 person choir...we perform in front of large audiences...we sing to raise money for the Children's Stollery Hospital here...the money going to children's mental health. I can't afford to give money, but, I can volunteer my time. Singing in the Edmonton Singing Christmas Tree...that has come back after a 5 year hiatus. Singing 5 shows in the middle of December...I'm in rehearsals for that right now. Beautiful voices coming together ...the energy & vibe are phenomenal...it really sounds "angelic". Looking forward to that now. Plus, Christmas is my favorite Holiday season. My house is decorated very early...and I don't take it down until after we celebrate Chinese New Year...which is in February. I can't get enough of the Christmas season. The lights and the celebration surrounding that season...is so important to me. :) I'm normally "an energizer bunny" , that's what my friends call me. Plus, I'm a Dietary Technologist...I do practice what I preach. I only go out to eat once in awhile as a treat. Most days, I cook healthy meals for myself. There are many calories in take out food & restaurant food. Full of lots of calories, lots of fat, sugar & salt in those meals. Everyone's bodies love the high calorie meals...and the restaurants know that. That's what keeps you going back over & over again. But, you can go out too...I always find that portions at the restaurant are just huge. That is the North American way.....always huge portions. I seem to always end up taking half of my meal home...which I can enjoy for lunch the next day. I have just learned to eat until I am satiated...and not eat until I feel sick. I don't have to eat everything on my plate. :) My philosophy about life is very similar to yours. Surrounding myself with a small core of wonderful friends...and my family is very important to me. Both of my parents have passed...so it's just me & my 2 big brothers, and our kids. That is the most important to me. Getting together with my family for important occasions. Birthdays and holidays. We are all still busy with work & our own hobbies...so, it's so important to cherish our family members & be grateful for the ones still here. :)

Hi Rene, I’m 69. I walk 4 miles a day, I’m a vegetarian and sugar free. I’ve had my rebounder for 3 years now. I do my rebounder about 3x a week while watching a u tube video. About 5 yrs ago me and my husband lost about 40 pounds each. I eat breakfast and lunch ( around 1pm) and nothing after that. I have insomnia, ( got that during menopause) so I’m usually in bed by 6:30, because I take CBD/ THC to sleep and I’m up by 4am. Magnesium gives me nose bleeds so I can’t take that. I’m 5’5” and weigh 130. When people tell me how healthy and how good I look I tell them thank you but it’s hard work every single day, but I don’t mind that because I want to be healthy, and being healthy takes work. So that’s my story, and I’m so glad to hear your story. Have a blessed day….:) Tori in Kingman Arizona 🌵

You do walk but you walk with the dogs too, correct? I took up dog walking in the mornings for this very reason--exercise! I also get my dog fix since I cannot have a dog (co-op apartment) where I live. I eat plain yogurt and buy Organic frozen blueberries. There is nothing wrong with them, and I do not end up throwing out overripe berries that somehow made it into the carton. The berries smell fresh and taste great! There are no preservatives in frozen berries, either. I also top my berries and yogurt with cinnamon-it really makes a great breakfast. Sometimes, I will also eat a soft-boiled egg . Love your routine and I can tell you are happy with your life. Your family is essential. Not all of us have a family, but we can still be happy. The dogs I walk Mon to Friday put a smile on my face, God Bless, Renee!

Also, if you can try the Prevage Anti-aging serum it’s a little pricey but it’s great and last but not least is 8 hour cream. I think it would help your fingers in the winter as I know they crack and I’m sure painful. Just a little info about 8 hour cream Mrs.Arden developed it originally for her horses when they’re feet would crack and have problems, it worked so well she developed an 8 hour cream for customers. Another great video with wonderful tips! I really need to get my sleep under control. I have the magnesium you use and really like it. I started taking 1 at night, then after a couple months I started with 2….whoa, I went back to 1 for now. ;) I’ll work my way up to 2 again eventually. For the last 4 months my husband and I have been getting my Mom’s house ready to sell. Sixty years worth of stuff to go through and some minor repairs to the house. So it has been very stressful. We listed it on a Friday and had a full price offer on that Sunday……and now today at 4pm we close on it!!! It has been a long and tiring journey. We both think our stress and sleep will improve greatly now! 😅 I’m always looking for tips to improve my daily life and your videos are wonderful and so uplifting! Thank you for sharing with all of us! Have a fabulous day!!

Oh wow! Congrats on selling the house. I'm sure the whole process took a toll on you. It will be behind you now so you can get back to your life.

@@WelcomeToMyCurlsExactly!! We are planning to go out to dinner to celebrate afterwards. It will be so nice knowing we don’t have to go over and work on the house…now we can concentrate on our house. But I’m sure I’ll have some tears when I walk through my childhood home for the last time….but it’s all good! It will be nice to have life in that house again. It’s a young family and they are so excited to move in. P.S. It’s not as sad as it sounds because my Mom is still alive, just in assisted living now.

Be careful with calcium. Ask your dr and/or research. I took it over 20 yrs. I have a heart condition. Calcium is linked to heart problems.

My doctor instructed me to take 1200mg of calcium daily.

For bones it is actually vitamin D3 ,K2, and magnesiu., you dont need calcium unless you dont do dairy, or if a scan says otherwise, but never take it without testing.@WelcomeToMyCurls

Calcium is usually in the foods we eat… however it is magnesium which we are all deficient in… the magnesium actually utilizes the calcium in our bodies to where it is needed.
@1Melody1963Ай бұрын
@@WelcomeToMyCurls My doctor recommended I take calcium and vitamin D. I requested blood work to determine if I am low or need more. Tests showed I am not low in either. What is available in a daily vitamin and my diet is plenty. I know several people who were very in to supplements that wound up with problems because of too much of those supplements. (That’s why I questioned the doctor’s recommendation.) At this point, I am 61, I would not add a supplement without testing to show a need. If I really felt the need for something added, I would look at diet and see what I can add do up my intake of a naturally sourced vitamin or mineral. For example, broccoli is a great source of calcium. Nobody gets sick from regularly eating broccoli.

That's fantastic! Just keep it up....slow and steady wins the race :). As for water, I tend to drink lots in the morning and slow down after about 3:00. It's a learned habit I think...you'll get there.

@@WelcomeToMyCurlswater is hard for me because it makes me nausea.. don't know why! My doctor doesn't know either.
