There's a saying in English, "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me." Shame on you, guy in the story, for letting this good for nothing dablaug trick, lie, and cause all sorts of problems for you. Shame on your wife for constantly not supporting you and giving in to her awful brother. Toxic people should be kept at a distance with zero interaction, regardless if they are family or not. At the end of the day, all these problems arose because you didn't have the courage to say "NO" to both your dablaug and wife. If I were a guy with a wife who doesn't support me in my decisions to protect myself and my self-interests, then that wife better consider very seriously who she wants a life with---me or her loser brother.
