I appreciate the honesty about church wounds, race wounds, and family wounds. Often, people look outside church because we don't speak about the journey of navigating those wounds inside the church--while still seeking God. I'm interested in his book.

I have been a fan of Yancy for 10 years. I am not a natural reader but his are absolutely hard to put down. I love his honesty and humble approach. God bless!

I had a strange experience. I was reading Philip Yancey and told the Lord that I'd like to tell Yancey what his books had meant to me but knew that I wouldn't be able to. I met a man who saw Yanceys books on my shelf and asked me if I liked Yancey. I said yes and said that I would like to thank him but obviously couldn't. The man said to me. "Write him a letter. I know him. He lives in my town and I will give it it him " I wonder if he ever got that letter. To me it was a remarkable experience.

I never knew my mother and I barely know my father. My father took me from my mother because she was a drug addict and my grandparents adopted me.

I used to love Yancy, but saddened with some of conclusions that he has come to . Some are given grace and some are outside of his grace.
