Hello guys, welcome to another episode of #TuesdayTechTalks, where I answer your tech question from the comments and Instagram.
btw, my Instagram handle is @thedriverseatguy
This episode's question is a very famous question that is usually asked in automobile engineering jobs/exams and interviews.
Why is the positive terminal of the car battery always covered?
This is to prevent the positive and negative getting in contact with each other during removal or installation of the battery. When removing the negative terminal, there are chances for the wrench to touch the positive terminal, which can create a spark. To avoid this, the positive terminal of the battery is always kept covered with a rubber or plastic cover.
That's all for today's episode! Was fun answering our questions. Keep your questions coming.. I will try my best to answer them in the upcoming videos.
