Cambodia will be owned and run by the Chinese government sooner than later. The people in charge only care about padding their own pockets and not the people. It's the most corrupted country in the Southeast and let's not forget that Uncle Chea was sent back because the Cambodian government made a deal with the American. If he was Vietnamese or Thai, he would be still in the USA.

I don’t believe any monk and don’t take their words for anything. I was just at ABA bank opening an account in Battambang and I saw with my own 2 eyes a monk withdrawing a stack of $100 bills from the ATM. Some of the older monks are legit rich while most young/new monks struggle. People in the US needs to stop sending these fake monks money.

Savi says, "By the time you're watching this, I will no longer be in Cambodia....". I hate hearing any goodbyes. Also, that tattooed monk who does not even correctly recite any scriptures doesn't know how to predict anything but in general one must use one's power of generalizations and inferences in any environment to protect oneself. Scientists say we are the descendants of the ones who generalized dangers and ran away from it just to live another day. Our ancestors did not examine things closely when they saw a movement in the tall grass, they concluded that a predator must be there, therefore run away for your life because the last time a brave man went to examine a situation got captured and eaten by a predator. 😂 Isn't that what Cambodians do in the States? When Cambodians got robbed, mugged, stabbed, killed, beaten by certain groups of non--Cambodians simply by walking down the streets, then to save themselves, the Cambodians will be extra careful when encountering those groups who would giving them endless troubles.😂

Why does Savi dress up as a Khmer Rouge soldier , ( black with the red scarf ) ? .. I wonder if its deliberate.

Trolling people like you
@saviyou17 күн бұрын
Real reason is I like to wear black because it's easy to wash and clean when I travel. I wear the red scarf because it was given to me by a good friend. I use it to wipe sweat off my face. I'm not really tryiing to look like khmer rouge but some old khmer folks still thinking that it is.
@Elephantsss16 күн бұрын
@@saviyou I ask because Loung Ung who wrote "First they killed my Father" realised when she first returned to visit Cambodia from the States that she was unconsciously dressing all in black , She had not been aware of why but mentioned that many returning Khmer do and she then realized it was like a form of Stockholm Syndrone. I am not trolling you, I think you're basically a good man who rarely behaves like a dickhead.
@Elephantsss16 күн бұрын
@@saviyou Actually the reason I asked is because Loung Ung who wrote "First they killed my Father" had been wearing all black clothes on her first trips back to visit Cambodia from the States , she eventually realized that this was in her case a form of Stockholm Syndrome. (association with the aggressor) . She mentioned that quite a few returning Khmer would also dress similar.

A simple Google search result: The Khmer Rouge co-opted the symbolism of the krama, a traditional Cambodian scarf, during the Cambodian Genocide. Today, the krama has been reclaimed as a symbol of the Khmer spirit and national identity.
