Dang, John died so young... he wasn't even 50, such a shame. John was definitely a huge part of wrestling growing up in the 80's. His "slam me & win 10k challenge" was always a fun part of the show. And his matches with Andre were always entertaining, seeing 2 guys that big in the ring together was mind blowing for a kid #RIPLegend 🙏🙏

He died younger than I am now.. Definitely puts life in perspective.. I really enjoyed the Rivalry of The Giants also.. I remember Big John Studd cut Andre’s hair after a match.. I forgot to mention that in the video.. Thanks for watching and sharing your memories :)

That was cool. 1st match I ever saw I was 8. It was slaughter vs sheik. But BJS was a big part of my childhood. Thank you for this. I live in Massachusetts so not too far away. Definitely gonna have to go pay my respects to the big guy one of these days

Thank you for posting this. So many memories of this guy from my 80's childhood. I met him in 1986 at toys r us in North Olmsted, OH. When I shook his hand, his hand was so huge that I couldn't even see mine. He was a very nice man. I live I. Lakewood, OH btw

He may have not been the most athletic or famous wrestler, but I love this guy! One of my all time favorite guys. There’s not enough out there on this guy in my opinion. RIP John, veteran, and giant among men ❤️
