As kids we never missed a film starring Our Norman. A weekend treat when he was at the local cinema. We enjoyed his films, and so did our parents. His "costar" on several occasions was Margaret Rutherford, and they worked very well together. And could he sing! A beautiful voice, clear enunciation, and moving songs. He sang with Joyce Grenfell, and they matched each other to perfection. I grew up with these stars, and they helped me grow up. I miss them still. R.I.P.

Comedian, actor, gymnast, boxer, musician, navy man and the list is endless. Imagine having Sir Norm as a dad eh?. I'm fortunate to live and walk my dog in areas where his films were filmed and have great conversations with people pointing out areas from scenes from his classic movies. My favourite point is the path where he does the walk for the silver cup to buy Jimmy a car in the Orphanage movie, he walks down the path where he paints the No. on the wall and transfers it to his vest. That walk, path is where they also filmed The Wombles with Bonnie Langford and her house is in the background. Will always be remembered and you can see he inspired the likes of Lee Evans and Bradley Walsh amongst big names to become comedians/actors. A legend Norm - Up in the World looking down on us all.

This is so strange, his wife left him when the children were young. He was about to embark on becoming a star in America. Charlie Chaplin told him he would be an even bigger star than he was. Unfortunately, after finding his wife ran off with another man, Norman had to quit his career as his star was rising and come home to raise his children. He continued with his career as much as was possible but it wasn't the same. I don't understand why that would be on his grave. None of his children's name's either, and jammed close to another. I'm not going to say much about his adult children, unfortunately I've met them. Sir Norman was a wonderful man, he deserved the world. I'm glad to see at least someone/s leaving a few little things there for him. I met him multiple times and he was always extremely kind to his fans and caring. I've worked in a theatre, most stars aren't even close to being as kind as he was. A true gentleman, with a childlike endearing quality. Very missed by many, but honestly mistreated his entire life. I'm so proud how well he did considering the odds. I highly recommend reading his book, he had a terrible upbringing and it's incredible he overcame all of the odds to become a huge star and bring joy to so many. A brilliant man.
