Yokozuna has one of the saddest stories in Wrestling behind the scenes. He had amazing agility and talent in ring for his size, but his size was his biggest enemy. WWE tried everything that they could to get him to a healthier weight (at the clip shown he was roughly 500+ pounds 6 years before he died. At his death, he was estimated at over 600.) They wanted to get him down to 300, but unfortunately he struggled with the diets he was put on. Unfortunately in the end his heart couldn't take anymore. It was a very sad end for Rodney, especially for those who were trying so hard to help him.

Suggestion, you should do a wrestlers theme episode since you did themed episodes in the past (Disney, Wizard of Oz...etc.). And it does not have to be restricted to WWE/WWF's wrestlers we lost. It could be from all promotions whether current (WWE/F, AEW, Impact Wresrtling/TNA, ROH..etc.) or defaunct (WCW, ECW..etc.). It could be promoters, wrestlers, other on-screen staff (commentators, interviewers, or referees). Or did you already did a wrestling theme episode? Yokozuna was an awesome wrestler and is apart of the same family of wrestlers not just The Rock, but also Superfly Jimmy Snuka, Roman Reigns, and The Usos.

Re Hollywood running out of ideas, I don't believe that for a hot second. As you stated, there are ideas out there for the picking. I believe that it's just plain laziness that keeps them making the same old same old, and the moviegoing public has been conditioned to just accept whatever the big studios give them. Let's hope that changes soon. Cheers!

Thanks so much for adding Yokozuna and Louie Spicolli for the wrestling crowd. Yoko was such a great bad guy wrestler aka a heel in his early WWE career. He especially had a great rivalry with The Undertaker whose one of my all time favorites. Backstage he was one of the nicest guys and was friends with a lot of guys especially with the aforementioned Undertaker and was with his backstage crew dubbed the BSK (Bone Street Krew). His story was indeed sad and was related to a lot of wrestlers who rep the Anoai wrestling family which includes Dwayne 'The Rock" Johnson, Roman Reigns, The Uso's and Rikishi Fatu just to name a few. Its a damn shame Yoko passed on.

Even though Yokozuna weighed over 500 pounds he was so agile and a great technical wrestler. Over the years the WWF lost talent such as The Texas Tornado Kerry Von Erich to Suicide and Dino Bravo to Murder also Rick Rude Mr Perfect Curt Hennig Road Warrior Hawk Animal Owen Hart Big Boss Man Eddie Guererro Britsh Bulldog Davey Boy Smith Rowdy Roddy Piper The Ultimate Warrior. I could go on but would be here allnight as so many great wrestlers have sadly passed away so young. I was working in the Prudential Insurance office in London and by 2pm (9am Eastern), the office which was normally buzzing with phones constantly ringing, was silent for the reminder of that day. In fact the journey home from the financial district was eerily quiet.

Arthur Dark, I subscribe to you and I'm a member of Welknotes-The Lawrence Welk Show Fan Club. I posted on the Welknotes Facebook page a link to your recent video. Thank you for including a memorial to Charlotte Harris, Lawrence Welk's longtime cellist. She was the only female member of the band, extremely talented and she was a very popular featured player on the show and when they toured. I have read that she was extremely popular when the orchestra played at the Hollywood Bowl. Can't wait for your next post!

Thank u for visiting the forgotten/famous black stars. Some I had never heard of until I watched vids. Though I don’t wait for the next one because that means another celeb has left us, I extremely enjoy your narration and info on the deceased. I didn’t know about Glen Glenn’s death. I also love the Hollywood Graveyard soundtrack. “Hollywood Dreams” the song which plays at 6:54 is my absolute favorite!! Thank u!!🔥🔥🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️

Thank you for sharing this. There were a lot of people I hadn't heard of so this was an education for me. I did remember the cellist from the Lawrence Well show - so very talented. This cemetery was so beautiful. Have a great day. Blessings - Judith 🎭🎵

As for John Bubbles. He shared the stage with Judy Garland at her triumphant return to The Palace Theatre in NYC in 1967. Their big number together was “Me and My Shadow.”
