The one thing I notice with these tours are the absence of family visitors or general visitors to the mausoleums, crypts, lawn graves or niches when you're filming. Is this down to good timing? It truly is like the deceased are gone and forgotten.

Arthur an interesting side note, On the day of Roy Rogers funeral in 1998 His casket was covered in a blanket of red carnations and was delivered In the glass enclosed 1898 hearse driven by a single Clydesdale. It was then escorted by 8 local members of the single action shooter society whose members dressed in 1880's costumes and considered Roy Rogers as one of their own. The black horse drawn hearse that you showed in the video at the end is that same exact hearse. When the hearse got up to Sunset Hills Memorial Park, they made sure that the burial Was at the same time as the sunset.

Scottie Hall - More Horse Trivia: Roy Roger's horse, Trigger, was also in one of the greatest movies of all time, "The Adventures of Robin Hood". He was the horse ridden by Maid Marian (Olivia deHaviland) when she and Guy of Gisbourne (Basil Rathbone) were waylaid in Sherwood Forest by Robin (Errol Flynn) and his men.

Michael Long Yes, Trigger was stuffed, or more appropriately, mounted. The last I heard, he was on display at the Roy Rogers Museum in Branson, MO, until it closed. Apparently RFD TV bought him and put him in their lobby, though I don't if he is still there.

Another wonderful tour! Thank you so much for going out of your way to visit Roy and Dale. I just adored them when I was little - even getting my dad to take me to the Ohio State fair every year in the hopes of meeting them. I finally did get to "meet" Roy when I was about 6. He autographed a picture for me and posed with me while my dad took our picture. I was completely struck dumb and couldn't say a word to him. I always regretted that - and that was well over 60 years ago! Thanks again for visiting my hero.

I find these so fascinating because the graveyards are so different than our graveyards over here :o We usually have stones and sand and full graves (as in a headstone and then the border along the entire grave) - we also usually light candles and leave a lot of flowers there (though candles are now finally slowly shifting to electric ones that burn using sun cells so you can have one lit for a year instead of those that you light up and then they only burn for a week or so crating a ton of plastic waste - small steps but I hope that we can eventually get to solar candles only - they still look pretty and it doesn't mean that you've forgotten your loved ones but I hate how much waste we are making because we are lighting so many candles, especially on the death day :( ) - we also don't have mausoleums or niches - I still hope that I can have my urn either displayed in one of those glass niches either have my ashes scattered - which is also not really popular over here - most people that choose to scatter them do so in the community part of the graveyard but they rarely take them home and spread them at home or bury their loved ones at home - these cemeteries look so calm and like a wonderful place to be laid to rest - ours look so … formal and stiff D:

If I remember correctly, Roger's character never killed anyone. I believe the same can be said for the Lone Ranger.
