I have now watched a little over half of the installments of Hollywood Graveyard. As a taphophile, (A person who is interested in cemeteries, funerals and gravestones), I am finding them highly entertaining, enlightening and informative. I find it heartwarming that some of the biggest stars of their times have such unassuming graves - like John Wayne, Frank Sinatra and others. I am also impressed that Mr Dark has even found some of these graves as it seems a lot of the early stars are buried under their own names, not their stage names or in unmarked graves. The amount of research he has put into these short films is part of what makes them so interesting to me.

We have gone to several of the ones he featured, and, believe it or not, that is overwhelmingly the norm. Very few are lavish- most you would EASILY miss- rarely you find those like Tyrone Power or Bob Hope, who has a whole section of the grounds just for him. Very first stone I found, on my first trip was Dan Duryea. I was looking for Freddie Prinze, which I never found...speaking of which, HEADS UP: take your phone and use these posts to direct you... Employees are NOT allowed to tell you where anyone is

Fred and Ginger are among very few who while connected in life, wind up interred in the same place, or close by, even if they are blood relatives. I think Astaire, Bette Davis and the Barrymores are among the rare interred with or close to associates / family members. Honestly, I’m more inclined to believe Astaire/ Rogers being in close proximity was unplanned

Oh God, that had me all emotional! I'm such a big fan of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, I cried when you showed their graves! I'm from Germany but one of my biggest goals ever is to fly over to the States and visit their graves and lay down some flowers. I'm tearing up again just thinking about it. :') I'm so happy that they're buried close to each other and can find their rest together. They sure had a very special bond and I'm so grateful for all the amazing movies they left us. Thank you, Fred&Ginger, I love you, I know you have a wonderful time dancing in heaven! Thank you for this video, it was great and meant so much! :) ♡

I love all the Hollywood Graveyard tours you do, it makes me feel very nostalgic. My gran was born in 1920 (sadly passed away last year) She saw so many of the great names in their movies when they first came out, and I was lucky enough to be told about so many of these great stars, it was always a pleasure listening to her telling me about them when they showed the awesome movies from the 30's and 40's on tv.

My Gran brought me up here in England so I think a lot of things she loved from that time rubbed off on me, one of my favourite things to do was to get out a book she had from the early 60's listing most of the Hollywood greats from the beginning of the 20th Century onwards, I'd open a random page and say a name, she was always able to tell me something about them.

Here in the UK, we have a stately home called Chatsworth House (Alluded to in this video by the Chatsworth Community Church). A beautiful palace of a house set in the wonderful Derbyshire countryside (I'm working there next week as it happens). Now, the ironic thing is, the owners of Chatsworth House are the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and it was the brother of the last but one Duke who married one, Adele Astaire, the sister of Fred, whose grave is seen in this video. Is that where the connection with Chatsworth comes from? Another point of interest that will interest viewers of this site. The Chatsworth Church in the UK is the burial place of Katherine (Kick) Kennedy, the younger sister of John F Kennedy.

Arthur, you are adorable. I took Kari's tour of Hollywood Forever this past Wednesday. My first time there and I knew nothing about Kari Bible prior to the tour. Later, in looking for what might be online about her, I discovered you and your very well-produced videos. You are offering such an invaluable service. I have a great interest in where many of these folks remains remain but find it very hard to locate them. I live next to Woodlawn and finding E.C. Segar (for example) was nearly impossible for me. And you know that Woodlawn is not that big. The task becomes exponentially more difficult when faced with Forest Lawn's various expanses. I have spent a lot of time searching those grounds - often to no avail. And your updates are delightful too. I was anxious to see Don Rickles marker after his year unmarked and, of course, you provided a pic. The style of your videos is just right. One gets a real sense of the scope of the various cemeteries which is something I value. And your graphics/media are so well chosen and presented, not to mention Giuseppe's effective and well-made music. You know what you are doing and it shows. I subscribed to your Patreon. I look forward to your future work...

Fred Astaire's last role (or one of them, I can't remember if it was absolutely the last) was in the 1980 horror film Ghost Story where he does not play a sunny, cheerful character. One of my favorite movies.

Was recently thinking about whether or not you've been to Fred Astaire's grave and I just missed it. Always glad to see your videos in my Subscriptions!

I once saw Fred Astaire's tails costume at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. He was teeny tiny man. After he and Ginger Rogers split, her career took off and his stalled. He was rather jealous of her success considering he was the bigger star at the time. Although he had a rather small voice, he was the most recorded singing male movie actor in Hollywood after Frank Sinatra.

My little claim to fame - for a short time I I regularly exchanged messages with Frank Kelly Freas' widow, Dr. Laura Brodian. I was running a small press publishing house and I needed permission to use one of his paintings for a book cover... lovely lady...
