The Chip n Dales skit was one of the funniest skit Ive ever seen. I remember reading in some magazine that Patrick Swayze was doing the movie Point Break with Keanu Reeves at this same time. Its WEIRD both of these legends are gone. Thanks Scott for always doing SUCH a beautiful job on these. ❤

Besides the Lunch Lady, my favorite SNL character/sketch of Chris' was Cindy, the girl who worked at the Gap. He did that sketch with Adam Sandler and David Spade. When David's character judges him about eating french fries and he grabs him and in a deep, menacing voice says, "Leave me alone, I'm starving!!!" I mean.... HYSTERICAL!!! But, really, anything Chris did was pure gold. Those days and that cast at SNL in the early 90's were MY CAST. We all have our generation of SNL and, at 13 and just discovering the show on my own, that was seriously my time. And how lucky am I to be able to say that. It was never better than the days Chris, Adam, Rock, Mike, Dana, Spade, ect were on. My heart was shattered when I heard of Chris' passing. I can't say I didn't see it coming though. The signs were all there. I remember, at one point, Roseanne and Tom Arnold took him under their wing after they, themselves, got sober and tried to get him help, but it didn't work I guess. That dear man... the demons that he must've suffered with. I pray he's found his peace. I got emotional with this one, Scott. Thank you for taking me with you, as I would never in my lifetime would've been able to go there and see it myself. It obviously hit you hard, too. God bless you, friend.

Love this vid. Used to live in Madison and would go to a liquor store that had a big picture of Chris behind the counter. I asked about it one time and the owner said his father used to come into the store a lot. I visited his tomb a few times and it was emotional. He’s one of those people that let me know you can actually love someone in this life that you’ve never actually met, and can be very affected by their death. Sidenote- Madison has the old Butch Vig Smart studios(now I believe just a rehearsal space) Nirvana basically recorded a rough version of ‘Nevermind’ there, and actually the recording of ‘Polly’ was the one they used on the album a year 1/2 later because they liked it better than what they were getting at sound city. Smashing Pumpkins first album ‘Gish’ was also recorded there. I remember being in the bar directly across the street from the studio building a few years ago. I was playing Nirvana from the smart recordings on the jukebox, and a guy came over and said “I love all the Nirvana ur playing man!!” N I said “well, u know all these songs were actually recorded right across the street?” He didn’t. I had him look out the window at the unassuming brick building across the street. I said “right there, right FKNG there” His mind was blown.

It is so hard when when one of your heroes dies. If you truly loved them it is something that never leaves you. I really felt a huge lump in my throat watching this. My hero was Brazilian racing driver Ayrton Senna and every anniversary is still very emotional. I saw an exhibition of his personal effects and I still feel so emotional when I watch him. I think my favourite Chris Farley ❤️ character is the Chippendale one you have to have a lot of courage to send yourself up like that he was absolutely hilarious and every time I see it is is like the first time. Madison is such a picturesque place. Absolutely beautiful city. It seems that there are so many famous comedians that fome from the midwest. My Dad used to say laugh or cry your here to stay! His comment when asked about being born in the midwest. It is also true that once a Midwestern er always a Midwesterner! I find that to be absolutely true. Having grown up and lived all but 17 years of my life there. Chris also has perfect comedic timing, is a class clown and can talk about anything. These are also very midwestern traits. I'm telling you there's something about living in the middle of the United States!!!! I know Chris grew up with all those traditional family values that allowed him to be free and be openly funny, but remain kind and gentle. I think he did a lot to inspire others. To show them being fearless and funny is possible. His SNL years are my favorite, although I enjoyed Tommy Boy. I can hardly believe he has been gone so long already! It seems like just not long ago, he was here....... His eternal resting spot is beautiful and I'm glad to see people visit frequently. As a talent I think he was everything one should be and as long as people talk about him and his life and work, Chris will never die. He will live on in his works and what people say about his comedy. That keeps his spirit alive and with us. So keep right on talking about him and spreading his comedy to up and coming generations! Thanks Scott for a wonderful video about Chris's life! Jill Gross

I was just three years old at the time when Chris Farley died. I remember at the age of three I didn't know what death was when I was that little, but I remember seeing Chris Farley and he was such a funny man and everything, and all his movies that he played in and stuff I remember watching them when I was a little kid. and you know being older and 26 years old now and being a dad of two boys and a husband and things my wife and I think that Chris Farley was totally hilarious. He was just such a funny man he knew how to make people laugh he made them crack up, but here's the thing you make other people laugh but here's what's on the inside there's a darkness inside of you that you are trying to fight yourself, but sometimes you lose, and that's exactly what happened to Chris Farley he made everybody laugh but on the inside he was in complete turmoil and darkness, and that's the price that comes about Fame and Fortune it ruins your life. let's take Freddie Mercury for example he was the lead singer of the band Queen and he was bisexual but you know he had done drugs, he smoked, he had sex, drank a lot, he had all these things and then all of a sudden bam a new disease hits, affecting the homosexual community. That's the price you pay when you're safe rich and famous, or at least you think you're safe but when AIDS hit that was hard. In just a few months time from what I read, if he just had stayed on his medicine and done what he had to do just a month's time they would have had new drugs in the pipeline to help him stay alive for a long time. In the end he didn't want that, so he went not only did he go but that was all his world was centered around this fame and fortune. same thing with Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson you know it was horrible to know that Michael Jackson passed away from a drug overdose, yeah his doctor prescribed it but Michael took it Elvis Presley took drugs to and killed himself as well.this is what happens when you can't handle the fame anymore the the the limelight you can't handle it anymore you just can't deal with it anymore.and that's how it was for Chris Farley all of this had to come to an end at some point you know what he tried his best getting help at rehab and things like that but he kept relapsing then all the relapsing went and killed him because no matter how hard he tried to just couldn't beat the darkness inside him. it's sad to know that he's not here anymore hopefully he's in heaven with the Lord but I don't know, but as a non-denominational Christian the Bible says plainly after death next comes the judgment. Since Chris Farley was Catholic, and Catholics tend to venerate Mary which is still not good either, because Mary should not be venerated or worshipped at all as a matter of fact the Bible says that in Romans 3:23 that we have all fallen short of the glory of God and that's including Mary she is also fallen short of the glory of God because and Luke 1:47 is she says my soul rejoices in God my savior. So she was the savior of the world why would she need a savior to save her from sin? PlusCatholic priests don't have the right to forgive your sin only Jesus Christ is the only one to forgive your sins and him only and you worship the Lord Jesus Christ and serve him only, because the Lord Jesus Christ is God In the flesh and you serve him only and worship him only not Mary or the apostles but God alone. I'm saying is hopefully Chris is there with the Lord Jesus Christ and making them laugh and stuff but I don't know I don't know where he is hopefully I'm saying that he is there making the Lord Jesus Christ laugh and cracking them up and things like that making the apostles and everybody laughs up there and everything but you know I don't know but he was a funny man and a great comedian rest in peace Chris Farley.

Really enjoyed the Video. I read Article not long ago. That his Family was building their own Mausoleum. And Chris be moved in near future. And placed with Dad and for Family. I don’t know how much true it is. Be something to check about. And myself Huge Fan of Chris. I still remember day he passed. Sitting in 8th Grade class ready for Christmas 🎄 Break. Definitely never be another Farley, Rip Chris

Can't believe it has been 22 years since he passed away. So beautiful for that to be his final resting place. For sure another comedic genius gone too soon.

Such an amazing talent. So unfair that his time was cut short. Everyone who loved him, like Adam Sandler, weren't able to recover. Such a tragedy. Marquette is a gorgeous school.

We all lost too many great actors, musicians, and loved ones due to drug use. We need more awareness programs!
