Elizabeth Ann Hulette (November 19, 1960 - May 1, 2003), best known as Miss Elizabeth, was an American professional wrestling manager and valet. She gained fame during the 1980s and early 1980s in the World Wrestling Federation as the manager of "Macho Man" Randy Savage (her real-life husband). She later parlayed her WWF success with a stint in World Championship Wrestling during the mid-to-late 1990s.
Although married to Savage, the true nature of their relationship was never mentioned on-air. The two were "married" on-air during an in-ring ceremony as part of the 1991 SummerSlam event. The marriage angle ended in 1992, coinciding with their real-life divorce and Hulette's subsequent departure.
During her run in the WWF, her most famous angles involved George "the Animal" Steele, The Honky Tonk Man, Jake "the Snake" Roberts and Ric Flair. She was also a key player in Savage's 1989 feud with Hulk Hogan.
She died May 1, 2003, as a result of a drug and alcohol overdose in 2003 at the age of 42 in the home she shared with Lex Luger.
On May 1, 2003, in Marietta, Georgia, Luger called 9-1-1 to report that Hulette was not breathing.[18] She did not respond to mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, and paramedics rushed her to the WellStar Kennestone Hospital Emergency Room, where she was pronounced dead at the age of 42. A medical examiner listed the cause of death as "acute toxicity", brought on by a mix of painkillers and vodka. Her death was ruled an accident. Hulette was buried at Frankfort Cemetery.

Great video! I have visited Elizabeth's gravesite 6 times, the last time in September 2020. I have loved her since the beginning in 1985. Her grandparents The Sorgs are buried next to her and her mom recently passed away back in October and she is buried on the other side of her. There is nobody who compares to her. Crime in Sports did a Lex Luger episode and covered the deep dive details of her death. Lex treated Elizabeth like crap, and he assumed she had fallen asleep and only much later on did he figure out there was a problem. I know it takes two to tango, but she deserved much better than what happened to her. RIP..

@LadyDragonsblood

@@adriana4331 You are right. Randy was not physically abusive at all, mentally perhaps. He was so jealous and over protective of Liz, that he, kept her locked in a gilded cage, so to speak. She got tired of it, and I can't blame her. He loved her deeply, but sometimes, that love can be smothering. It was a tragic love story.

Luger deeply regrets what happened to her. Today he still talks about how if he could take all these things back he would. He is really remorseful. It's sad what happened to Elizabeth but it's sad when he always keeps bringing her up because it still eats him up as of today. Sad but just sad all around.

@@LadyDragonsbloodI'm just sick and tired of people mentioning the word over protective and like it's a bad thing but I'll tell you all right now it's not a bad thing at all I've been over protective of my wife for the last 14 years and she loves me for that but not only her but my 3 daughters as well I'm now 39 and still over protective and I would do anything to keep my family safe cause if anything had happened to them I'll make sure they don't breath another air again🤷 randy was doing the right thing for Elizabeth to protect her she was to stubborn and stupid to realize that and what's right from wrong she chose her own demise just a silly woman making stupid choice's🤷
@LadyDragonsblood
@LadyDragonsblood Ай бұрын
@@Mikemonoa-hz2rz There is being protective, and then there is OVER protective which is smothering. I have read many wrestling biography's, and they all tell how at shows, Elizabeth was told by Randy not to leave the dressing room... and when he DID let her out, it had to be with a COUPLE.... he was the same way at home... he would never let her out of his sight. That is TOO much.

Miss Elizabeth was definitely one of the first women in wrestling that I can recall, even though she didn't actually wrestle. Wendy Richter was my first wrestling "crush", and I liked Sherri Martel a bit more than Miss Elizabeth during that time, but there's no doubt she was a huge presence in the late 80s WWF scene. Also later she played a big role in WCW with Randy joining the NWO.

However, Miss Elizabeth was definitely a big crush, until I grew out of wrestling. I went from loving wrestling to absolutely hating it, when I found out it was staged. As I grew up I realized what it was, basically soap opera for boys/men and I appreciate it now for what it is.
