@@colleengaskill2792 66 was the age they set in 1935 when the average lifespan was 60 for men and 64 for women. What’s surprising is that the average lifespan was around 47 in 1900 so you’d have thought someone would’ve worked an increasing lifespan into the formula and made the retirement age 80 today!
