Of all the album, this song here is the saddest one to me. The father is struggling to hard to save his daughter even in the face of death. Around (2:12 I think?) when the lyrics aren't clear and starting to break apart, but then regain focus makes me think of the father nearly succumbing to death untill he pictures his child and fights even harder to escape. Hell he didn't even want to be saved, he knew it was over for him, but he was begging, pleading, and arguing with his position, fighting for one more moment to say goodbye, to say "I love you". Its a pretty well written story, better then a few actual novels I read, they didn't kick up nearly as much emotion as this one song is. This band can go a very long way if they continue doing amazing works like this.

"Nancy is Jake's mom (Nancy is from The Fog and Jake from One in the Chamber). Nancy died in the hospital room that Bob had been in with her (Bob is from My Life Before my Eyes). So Jake became an alcohol abuser and killed Eric (Hell in the Headlights) by accident in a car crash. Then Jake couldn't take the guilt so he killed himself. Bob was the father of Daniel and Jarred. (The Killing Zone and Brothers in Arms). Jarred died saving Aisha (The Uprise) and Aisha is still alive. Daniel was not in the war and he could not please Bob (aka his father) so he turned to drugs. Now, Daniel and Zack had the same dealer so Zack told and lied to Daniel to steal all of the drugs and supplies from the dealer but was gunned down in the streets. Next is Bob, he was expecting atleast one of his sons to come and see him but he knew they both died so he had no one and died alone in the hospital because of a broken heart. Zack couldn't get over the fact that Daniel died because of his lies so he overdosed and died. At this point Aisha is the only one alive in the Council. I hope this helps you understand more or anyone :p"

Hands down the best song on the whole album. Me being a father myself, with a little girl, this hits me right in the feels. You can tell JT put a lot of emotion in this song because he too is a father. Weird part is my wife has been having dreams about a car crash for months. And I just started listening to this album two days ago. I hope this song isn't about me....

I love how both albums use songs to piece a story together, like Two-Faced Charade when the guy is in love with a girl, but she has a boyfriend, then gets voices in his head to take her back, ending up with killing her boyfriend, then she finds out, then he knocks her out, then the music video of The Show Must Go On; then there's this, which from what I think, is about people and their tragedy that leads to another and so on and so forth, like a butterfly effect, and thus creating a council of the dead. At least, that's what I think of this album and it's story

This entire album is just... a pure perfection, to this day. Every song is amazing and the stories are gut turning.. especially this one. The fight of a father who's only worry is if his daughter is safe and alive, and in the end..him accepting it because he cant hold on anymore, and begging god to keep her safe without her and for her to understand. This is a such a tragic life like thing that happens and its so terrible.... I hope anyone who has ever lost a parent is ok. and I hope those who passed look down and see all of us

Famous Last Words You have lifted my spirit with this album, no pun intended (:
@DeceiveToAchieve10 жыл бұрын
AhhhHHHH I GET IT!! Its funny because you said "lifted my spirit" and the albums about a bunch of souls being lifted into another existence!! You said no pun intended, but I know what you're up to there little mister, you should take more pride in your puns! Puns make us laugh and humor is essential to living as a conscience human, so I guess in some roundabout retardesque way that means you kept me alive today AND FOR THAT, SIR, I THANK YOU. We can all learn a lot from punsuous (punsuous: adj. Consisting of puns) individuals such as yourself. You are what makes our society carry on. To come up with such puns takes the mind of a innovator, constantly taking the clutter of spacious thoughts that back up in the mind and refining them to make room for the beautiful process of humor!!! I just hope the praise from that comment doesn't... GO TO YOUR HEAD :DDD!!!!!..... I'm done now
