Being alone is such a gift if you can embrace! I spent the first 25 years of my life semi-aware of my ND, and being abused by every person in my life Now I spend every second outside of work alone, almost always working out and working on side hustles. I think autistic is a genius and it is another name for excellence
@TheDisordersCare
@TheDisordersCare 11 ай бұрын
It's important to recognize that autism, like any neurological condition, is a diverse spectrum that affects individuals in unique ways. While some autistic individuals may possess exceptional talents and skills in specific areas, it is not accurate to say that all autistic people are geniuses or that autism is synonymous with excellence. Autism is a developmental disorder that can bring challenges in social communication, repetitive behaviors, and restricted interests. However, many autistic individuals lead fulfilling lives, contributing to society in various ways, and showcasing remarkable abilities in different fields such as art, science, technology, mathematics, and more. It is essential to avoid generalizations and stereotypes about any group of people, including those with autism. Recognizing and appreciating the diversity and individuality within the autistic community helps create a more inclusive and understanding society. We should celebrate the unique strengths and talents of every individual, regardless of their neurological characteristics.

People with Asperger's and Savants naturally have High IQ , and people with high functioning autism in the majority possess genius level academic qualities. So , yeah it could be said so . I have Mild case of Asperger's myself and I scored in my IQ test back when I was 16 with understemated IQ of 148 . Putting me at the genius category. However I don't see IQ tests as very accurate and reliable.

I’m Nigerian. Suffered from level 2 autism all the way to high school. Was bullied often and was an awkward and lonely child. I even attempted suicide while in elementary school by hanging myself from the ceiling fan. Luckily, the rope got cut. Fast forward to more recent times. I moved to USA, became a Navy Seal, got a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from MIT. Had a successful career in several fortune 50 companies. And now own a successful business in Texas. I’m telling you this to know there’s hope. My daughter is also autistic. You have to teach them to channel their strengths. Autistic children are actually more intelligent because of super compensation. Their brains will channel its strength to something unique. You have to find what that thing is and build on it. In every autistic child lies a genius. Don’t know if you’re religious. But if you are, be prayerful and keep them in church

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this matter. It's unfortunate that misconceptions and insensitivity about autism still persist, even in light of prominent individuals with autism who have achieved remarkable success. Awareness and understanding are key to dispelling such misconceptions and fostering a more inclusive and empathetic society. Let's continue to spread awareness and education to promote acceptance and respect for all individuals, regardless of their differences.

I'm really sorry to hear that you've had experiences where you've been hurt. It's completely natural to have strong reactions to physical harm or distressing situations, especially for someone with autism. It's important to remember that your feelings are valid, and it's essential to prioritize your safety and well-being. If you find yourself in situations where you feel threatened or unsafe, it's a good idea to reach out to a trusted friend, family member, or a support network that can provide guidance and help ensure your safety. Remember, seeking assistance is a sign of strength and self-care.

@TheDisordersCare 11 ай бұрын
While it is essential to be careful when making assumptions about someone's personal traits, it is crucial not to jump to conclusions about Messi or anyone else's neurodiversity based solely on observations from the media or public appearances. Neurodevelopmental conditions like autism can present differently in individuals, and it is not appropriate to diagnose or label someone without proper assessment and professional expertise. If you have concerns about social awkwardness or any other behavioral traits, it is always best to approach the topic with sensitivity and respect for the individual's privacy. Ultimately, it's important to remember that we should avoid making judgments or spreading speculations about someone's personal life without credible information and consent.

Everyone is saying how intelligent autistic people are and everything, but I’m autistic and get average grades and possess pretty average IQ. While some people on the spectrum do have remarkable skills such as being able to calculate very large equations almost automatically in their head, a lot of us don’t have abilities like that. It’s also important to note that while the people on this list might have traits that a lot of people with autism have, a lot of these individuals have not publicly said they are on the spectrum, and are based on what we perceive from the part of themselves they choose to portray to us.

Its the facial points you can tell when a person has autism maybe its because i have it i can tell by looking but most of the time the first thing i noticed is the shape of the eyes and the with between and the shape which usually is cats eyed/ lower lids we need to stop trying to communicate with normies its waste of time we spent years learning them and the dumb games they want to play but they will never take the same time we have to learn about us

It's understandable that individuals with autism may develop a keen awareness of certain facial features or expressions that are associated with the condition. However, it's essential to remember that autism is a spectrum, and the characteristics and experiences of individuals with autism can vary widely

Do you think Thomas Edison had ASD?
@TheDisordersCare
@TheDisordersCare 11 ай бұрын
Absolutely, your question raises an intriguing point. While it's challenging to definitively diagnose historical figures, some researchers and experts have speculated about the possibility of Thomas Edison displaying traits associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It's important to note that without direct evidence or access to his medical records, any conclusion remains speculative. Edison's incredible focus, intense interests, and unique communication style have led to these discussions, but attributing a modern understanding of ASD to historical figures requires careful consideration and expert input. It's fascinating to explore these connections, but we must approach such discussions with a thoughtful and respectful approach to historical context and the limitations of retrospective analysis.

You are correct that just because someone exhibits certain traits or behaviors associated with autism does not necessarily mean they have been diagnosed with the condition. Einstein could have lived much longer but refused surgery because he wanted to go. Many autistic people (level 1, I have no idea about level 2 and 3 tbh, but we only saw level 1 here) commit suicide. And often not for the „common“ reason, no, the thought of wasting all this energy just to not fit and being told to just try for another 10-20years is just too tiresome. You can Google the suicide rates and comorbid conditions, it’s not what I’d wish for anyone… So, be careful what you wish for…
