Discover new perspectives with these thought-provoking books! "Adult Autism Support Guide" by Maxine Kelley (Author) A definitive guide to understanding those on the autism spectrum so you can make meaningful connections. Do you work with people who are on the autism spectrum, and you want to find ways to connect with them? Do you suspect someone you are close to may have ASD and you want to better understand what they deal with daily? There are currently 5.4 million adults with autism living in the United States - that is 2.2% of the total population! amzn.to/3uCz9T8 "Autism for Adults" by Daniel Jones (Author) This is a common thought among autistic people because society is built with neurotypical people in mind―but that handbook has finally arrived. Even better, it was written by an autism activist who is on the spectrum himself. amzn.to/3OOfQgC "Is This Autism?" by Donna Henderson (Author), Sarah Wayland (Author), Jamell White (Author) This highly accessible book clarifies many ways that autism can present, particularly in people who camouflage to hide their autistic traits. amzn.to/3wvDV5d

I am 19 yr old undiagnosed autistic from 🇵🇭 and my life experiences has been tough because of social stigma (bullied a lot) and I always been thinking that I'm too different from other kids. I don't socialize. I hardly communicate to strangers. I'm hypersensitive. I though I'm probably just introvert or shy or have social anxiety. But this doesn't give meaning about my childish and restricted behavior. At first, I don't accept this because I'm thinking for my future. But as time goes on, I learn to accept it by researching my condition and found out I might have ASD, specifically Asperger's syndrome, along with frequent anxiety. Despite this, I do have good educational background. When I was around 10, I can draw maps, recite countries, stars, storm names, and very interested in history, geography, astronomy, religion, philosophy, psychology, and others. I always see my world as being colorful 🌈. I do believe that being autistic is a gift from the Almighty God ✨ albeit with unescapable challenges. Now I know I'm not alone, Thank you for this video!! Laban lang! Fighting! ✊💕✌️

I'm really glad to hear that you find this encouraging! Being diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) can be a challenging experience for both the individual and their family. However, it's essential to remember that each person's journey with ASD is unique, and there are many resources and support available to help individuals with ASD thrive. Early diagnosis and intervention can make a significant difference in the development and progress of children with ASD. As a parent, your support and understanding play a crucial role in helping your son navigate the world with ASD. There are various therapies, educational programs, and community resources that can aid in his growth and development. Remember that there's a broad spectrum of abilities and strengths within individuals with ASD. Embrace your son's uniqueness and celebrate his accomplishments, no matter how small they may seem. Surround yourself with a supportive network of family, friends, and professionals who can offer guidance and encouragement along the way. Additionally, connecting with other parents who have children with ASD can be incredibly beneficial, as they can provide valuable insights and understanding from their own experiences. Lastly, stay informed about the latest research and advancements in autism support and therapies. The more knowledge you have, the better equipped you'll be to make informed decisions for your son's well-being. Please know that you are not alone in this journey, and there are many resources and communities available to help you and your son. Keep seeking support, stay positive, and take things one step at a time. With love, patience, and dedication, you can make a positive impact on your son's life and help him reach his full potential.

True, proving autism in historical figures can be tricky. Our research provides insight, but it's not always 100% conclusive. There are strong indications, but definite proof is challenging due to historical limitations and evolving diagnostic criteria. What's your take on this topic?

There is loads more famous autistic people too Dan Akyroyd, Adolf Hitler, Isaac Newton, Mozart there's too many to name.

While there have been speculations about historical figures, like Adolf Hitler, Isaac Newton, and Mozart, having traits associated with autism, it's important to remember that diagnosing individuals from the past is speculative. It's more meaningful to recognize and celebrate contemporary figures, like Dan Aykroyd, who openly identify as autistic and work to raise awareness and understanding.
