Famous Ukrainian Poem & Painting "KATERYNA" of Taras Shevchenko

In this video, I'd like to tell you about the famous Ukrainian poem "Kateryna" written by Taras Shevchenko, and the painting "Kateryna", painted a few years later.

The poem starts with the phrase:
“Кохайтеся, чорнобриві,
Та не з москалями,
Бо москалі - чужі люди,
Роблять лихо з вами.”
This phrase has become a sage advice of Taras Shevchenko to the people of Ukraine: to stay away from russians, because they bring only evil to the Ukrainian land.
In the video, we will also talk a bit about the symbolism of the picture "Kateryna" and author's perception of his own characters.

He is one of my favourite poets and artists of all times ! I am studying Ukrainian poetry with my teacher at the moment and Тарас Шевченко is my main focus . He must have been an absolutely amazing person, I know that he was born a salve to the russian empire and that his friends later bought his freedom. His verses and also paintings ( including auto portraits) are beautiful. I recommend everyone to check them out. ❤️❤️❤️

من سيعة ، أنا قريت القصيدة هاي مكتوب للمرحوم تاراس سيفتشينكو عنوانها كاترينا هللي الاسم من وحدة إني كنت واقِع بحب فيها و عايشة بسويسرا مع أصول من أوكرانيا و عجبتني كتير و بقدرش أبطل أفكر فيها буквально годину тому я прочитав цей вірш покійного Тараса Шевченка під назвою Катерина, це ім'я людини, в яку я закохався і живе в Швейцарії, корінням в Україні.мені вона дуже подобається, я не можу перестати думати про неї
