What a handsome and atletic actor he was ! And Trampas McClure got one of a few good roles. In The Unforgiven I mean, voted by a obscure trial for the most anti Indian movie at all times. Read the book by Alan LeMay and Lancaster was the ideal Ben Zachary, given or take 20 years in the character..Thank you for this, all the best from Northern Germany Ludwig

Though it was set in the american depression era but The Riainmaker "1956 was more of western then anything else or at least like Buffalo bill and the indians"The rainmaker certainly deserve a mention,

Lancaster has been one of my favorite movie stars since I was a kid and saw The Crimson Pirate. Despite the blue eyes, he was still good in Valdez is Coming. Vera Cruz is fun and he and Gary Cooper are good together. The Hallelujah Trail is hilarious and Lancaster shows his ample comic talents in it. The Professionals is a solid action film with a great cast. But I really just don't like either The Scalphunters or Cattle Annie and Little Britches at all, both badly written in my opinion. Thanks for another one.

Lancaster in Apache was still a good movie, besides Chuck Conners played Geronimo so blond blue eyed Indians were pretty common in the movies. I really enjoyed The Kentuckian. I've forgotten how many great movies he was in.

I’m gonna rate on a scale of one to 10 how good some of these directors were. Robert Aldrich was the best of the bunch. I gave him a 10. John Sturgis was a better than average filmmaker, but only that. I’ll give him a six. The movie by Pollock is pretty good. I’ll give that a seven or eight.

On a scale of one to 10 how good is vengeance Valley in your opinion? Before I saw it I was astonished at the cast of great stars who were going to appear in the movie. But the movie actually seemed mediocre. The only thing that I can assume is that whoever directed it is not a good Director

Humphrey Bogart ahead of Lancaster. What a joke. Lancaster was incredibly athletic and could play anyone. Bogart was just a tough detective and bad guy for the first half of his career.
