thats musicianship right there, dynamics: soft, full, crescendos decrescendos; smooth, connected phrases something that most HBCUs dnt know much about. thats why i love fam more than ANY other hbcu. i love it them chords at the end were so beautiful. thats FAMU for ya!

Honestly I'm a BCU fan. But there was no denying that was excellent. Great dynamics, balance, they played the song in it's character. As much as I love BCU there is no doubt in my mind that FAMU is the best in all HBCU's when it comes to concert selection. In fact it would not surprise if they are the best in the country when it comes to concert selections.

The name has history behind it. Clearly there are more than 100 people in the Marching 100. When William P. Foster was Director of Bands, his goal was to get at least 100 people in the band and when that goal was reached he proceeded to call the band the Marching 100. Of course there are more than 100 now, but it's the history behind it that makes us who we are today. Before the Marching 100 was the Marching 100, there were less than 20 people in the band. Look at the progress we've made. (:

i wish there was this much music lovers of REAl music, marching and enssemble, my band has roughly 49 members /: we sound good, but it would be amazing to have a band like this, but our damn principa doesnt want our school to be known for a good narching band that winds, over horrible sports that LOSE with an exception of soccer wrestling and track
