Norfolk came to rock it out. Both bands represented. They are already leaving it on the field. MEAC/SWAC challenge was a good field match up. They ready.

I’ve always enjoyed NSU… As a 100 Alum it was always dope to have NSU and their “corps” presentation; very militaristic and precise… Being able to enjoy the energy and unbridled enthusiasm of the 100 and the military display of NSU was a WIN… Two different styles… Major props!!!

No band puts on a show like the Marching 100. The Olypmic Fanfare opener alone sealed the deal. That said, the Legion was amazing per usual and i really hate how they're slept on.

The video doesn’t do NSU trumpets any good. When I heard that from the side line up close man it was like DCI piercing . I’m just not a fan of the lack of lower brass sound in the music other than the tubas

Most of these programs dance routines are similar, the bring the P-Valley girls out, and they stand still and play for the girls... Then the go to block band and either put their instruments down for a tuba and drum break. However, the 100 plays a melody of songs with a drum break. The 100 dances with the volume always on Forte...

This is so true. FAMU is the ONLY band that dances while playing with great sound. All the others wait till drum and bass breaks to dance without playing their instruments. I’m not sure why no one else mentions this. The technique and fitness required to do what FAMU does in this regard is unmatched.

I definitely see why so few band battles are scored. Some band styles are built to always fit preset criteria. And other programs are not set up to score in certain areas. A&T is a good example of a band that would meet this kind of criteria. Because of this there is not as much opportunity for bands to improve in scoring. I had a chance to be at the game yesterday. Enjoyed both programs.

The feeling is mutual. I was not impressed with FAMU'S lackluster show. You all do well playing music and decent dance routines. But you all ALWAYS, I mean ALWAYS have to do a "minute dance" in your drill to make it exciting. Your drills are boring, sloppy and overcrowded.
