I had a 1020 when i did the sat, i applied october 15 and they sent me an email saying i needed to retake my test or my application might be denied. I just recently took it again and I got a lower scoreeee. Its been a month and I haven’t heard anything. Do you have any advice?

Hey!! I’m sorry to hear that. My advice to you is try taking the act! It was easier in my opinion and FAMU takes either score. Also regardless of what score you got still apply because you never know!! I really hope this helps. The SAT is one of the trickiest parts of the application, keep me updated 🤍

My gpa is 2.9 😭 and I am so stressed because I have been taking AP classes but I am proud of it because I haven’t touched a core class in forever should I worry ?

Honestly, a 2.9 is not bad for taking AP classes because those are normally harder than regular curriculum classes. I would say definitely apply still and just shoot for a higher SAT/ACT score to help boost you up if you can. But also I wouldn't get discouraged based on just the numbers because they look at you overall and will see that you have been taking AP classes and will take that into account as well. Don't get discouraged and good luck!!

Hey, to transfer under 30 credits do you have to have Spanish 1 and 2 already taken ?

Hey! So I am not really sure how it works when it comes to transferring and how the credits work but I do know that you had to take Spanish 1 and 2 in high school in order to get accepted. Heyy, I'm a junior rn and I have a 3.6 unweighted but a 3.9 weighted and I got a 1210 on the SAT. I have 75 hours in community service. do they check both weighted and unweighted gpa and do i need more than academics and community service to get in? I'm prob gonna join some clubs next year, but idk if it'll be too late for my applications lmao

Hey! Based on your gpa you should be fine! Community service hours isn’t a requirement but it definitely will make your application stronger.

Here’s a link to their admissions page: admissions.famu.edu/freshman you can always call the admissions office and ask them as well!! Even if they don’t, still apply regardless don’t let the numbers hold you back! Hope this helps🧡🐍
