As a former minor league player 50 years ago I had tears in my eyes watching this game.

Could only imagine how you felt & what emotions you were feeling watching Shohei make history as a former player. I only played in my teens but I remember the beauty of playing Baseball.

What is a Jordan Lebron moment? It was a Shohei moment, no doubt. Japan creates some good baseball players. Cheers Japan.

That's so disrespectful to say it was a Jordan Lebron moment. NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!!! He surpasses them both!!!!! He did the Jordan moment when he beat Trout last year at the WBC. This moment is his OWN. He beat them ALL. He's better than them all. Nothing compares to this. NOBODY has done this, ever, and that's with modern equipment. As great as Babe Ruth was, NOBODY had done what Shohei did today. And he is Japanese, playing in a foreign league, the supposed top league of the game. Jordan nor Lebron can ever hold a torch to Shohei. He doesn't even speak English
@therealmonkfromtibet2 күн бұрын
I'm a fan of both MJ and Ohtani, and I don't think it was disrespectful. Perhaps it was bad worded, because Jordan, Lebron and Ohtani all achieved records in their own sports and in different categories. They are the best at their sports.

hes the greatest of all time....lbj and jordan had a debate of whos better....theres no one better than shohei
@dannyviveros70952 күн бұрын
Well said & 💯 % FACTS! Nobody has done this. He's not joining an elite club HE is the 1st in history of his chosen sport to be all alone on a level no one had ever imagined 😮.
@3rdLeo2 күн бұрын
In fact, he can already speak everyday English fluently. In every interview, he always delivers a message to the American people through an interpreter, and it is because he is thinking of us Japanese. I got goosebumps when I learned this fact. Sorry for the Google translation.

What exactly is a 'LeBron moment'? It doesn't make much sense to me. Did Ohtani hold a 'Decision'-style show and announce, 'I'm taking my talents to the Dodgers' or something?

@@jxmamba9331you mean wuth Kyrie Irving two 40 point games and the series winning shot? That comeback? Greatest team? They weren’t playing the 72-10 Bulls who won the finals the same year. The 73-9 Warriors went 15-9 in the post season. Yeah great teams don’t choke the biggest games
@jxmamba933116 сағат бұрын
@@zerocool7408 yea I’m talking about the finals were Lebron became the first and only player in nba history to avg a triple double in the finals and also where he got the most iconic game saving block…yea that finals, and the only reason they’re not considered the best is because Lebron didn’t allow that to happen🤣🫵

I only give Reggie Jackson's 3 homer game as the best game as a player ever...because it was in the World Series against a good Dodger team...but this performance against a not that good team, 20-4...was a very close 2nd.

Jordan? maybe. Come on, Lebron? He is not even close to compare to either one of these two greatests.
