Quite possibly. I've been watching baseball for several decades. 6 hit games are incredibly rare. 3 homer games are rare. 10 RBI games are incredibly rare. To do all of that at once, with 2 stolen bases, and to create the 50/50 club while doing so is just nothing short of amazing.

He became only the 10th player in MLB history to record 10+ RBI in a single game. I have never seen anyone like Ohtani before. He is one of a kind, in a class by himself. Stat checkers are always hard at work whenever Ohtani plays. You never know what record he might break or create. MVP!

He would've wanted all the money now so he could gamble with it. When Shohei Ohtani set the “record,” my hands trembled for several minutes. I’ve never experienced anything like this while watching baseball. Even now, my hands are still lightly shaking, but what this man accomplishes is beyond human comprehension. At LoanDepot Park, where he led the world to victory in the WBC last year, he now secured his first postseason berth and set an unprecedented “record.” Just like the “40-40” achievement, he often plays games that remain in both “records” and “memories.” Is he a messenger sent by the baseball gods? No, perhaps he himself is a baseball god in human disguise. …There are still nine regular-season games left to witness his performance, which inspires such fantasies.

@@thebeautifulgame2274 What scandals? LeBron being a successful athlete & businessman, who didn’t party exactly like Kareem and has his same longevity? Or his public and other initially private philanthropy? OR, is “the scandal” that he has the opposing political views as you; where people are actually equal and he won’t “shut up and dribble” ? Maybe, being a loving husband & father, with no affairs, nor say any SA charges in Colorado for example? Or, is it helping his childhood friends get the education for their dream careers, and then using a Trust to distribute the seed money for them to create their now +multimillion dollar companies? *All while not even bending the NBAs nor US Federal Conflict of Interest & Collusion laws; all with Fox News Channel investigating and finding zero evidence of any crimes. Nor any of their “witnesses” being willing to sign sealed FBI affidavits/statements about their purely innuendo “maybe” claims?* (which would have been federal crimes) Or, was it following the US Gov’t advice for US citizens, distributed by the NBA & Players Union to all current & recent players, about not falling/feeding into China’s “The USA controls & Pays the Hong Kong democracy protesters” political trap? Or, was it using his free speech right to point out the legalized murders in the USA? Or *Taking over $300million less over his career in NBA contracts,* never pouting for more money (Bird, who also told his fans to write to Congress & Reagan to force the rule change, simply to enrich himself more on a stacked team). Nor signing Max/SuperMax contracts, and then breaking the spirit & intent of the contract by pouting for a trade (KD)? Or, is it LeBron being like every other NBA Superstar (Donic, MJ, Magic, Kareem, Wilt, West,) and having a hand in his team’s roster & coaching decisions? I know it wasn’t Illegally misleading other NBA franchises on his draft eligibility so he could only be drafted by a very specific team (Bird. again). Nor has it been assaulting other NBA players, and/or his own teammates with sucker punches (MJ)? Nor, has it been directly blaming a teammate for a loss, with the full knowledge they were already physically disabled and were going to be for that entire day. Like when *MJ* begged Scottie Pippen to play in Game 7 of the 1990 ECF. All while fully knowing multiple doctors had advised Pippen not to play, b/c it meant not being able to take his medication for his (dangerous) pressure-type Migraine, and his right eye eyesight having a flash-increasing aura coving 40% of his central vision. That was the year MJ had his supposedly “GOAT” appointing over Kareem *regular season,* but still had no real playoff success.

Perfectly timed swing, steady follow through with an unwavering lower body. What a beautiful swing Shohei has. The wonderful sound of the ball is evidence that there is no waste or blurring when hitting the ball, and all the power is mechanically concentrated on a single point. That is why the ball flies so far even though it appears to be hit lightly. Three characteristics can be seen in Shohei Ohtani's swing. (1) Natural dynamic vision to see the movement of the ball, (2) A stable and smooth swing trajectory with an unshakeable body axis due to the overwhelming strength of his torso, lower body, legs, and hips, and the ability to repeat the same swing over and over again at any time as if it were programmed. (3) The ability to instantly find the best timing to hit the incoming ball, and to capture that timing without fail. He has been doing these three things with his big body, which he has trained with diet and training for the past 10 years. As a result, he can make a moving ball fly as far with a steady and efficient swing as if it were a driver shot of a stationary golf ball.
I don't watch baseball, but even I can appreciate this amazing athlete and what he's accomplished on this day.
