I am so excited for the new job, having a dual wielding swords job was a dream of mine so this is a dream come true, I have watched the viper trailer more then 30 times already, I have made my dawntrail viper glam and I already like ew when I see that I am still a reaper and not a viper....its going to be a long 9ish months

So exciting! I regret not getting further in FFXI when it first released. I got to level 12 but had no friends and was shy, so couldn't really get further as a lonesome White Mage.

Too true! FFXI was impossible to play solo. You needed exp from chaining mobs higher than your level, and you could only do that with a group. And when you lose exp every time you die, you don't take chances. I'm sorry you didn't get to enjoy the game then. If you did want to try it now, they have Trusts you can take with you as an NPC party. But the game can still be hard to understand without constantly referring to a guide. 😵 Which is why I can't say everyone should give it a go. But I'm excited to see what the raids become!

Yes! And it's just so well done! I'm very excited at this point, and don't know if there's anything the casting DPS could be that would make me want to play it more.

Viper looks fun & I'll definitely try it cuz melee. Also, I think future weapon design contests could give us some really unique weapons for the job. Au Ra limbal rings needed the love. Some of the brighter colors don't look very "connected" to the iris. Fall Guys glam- nuff said 🙌 The graphic updates look great. The Black Shroud will never be the same lol (watched it live*)

Oh! It would be awesome to see what designs people could come up with for Viper weapons! 💜And I hope that they do something like that to make up for the lack of the weapons in previous EX content! And agreed completely with the Au Ra eyes! The graphics changes look small when you focus in on them, but an entire zone of those small changes is going to make a massive difference!

I can't wait to play the new class! It looks like a mix between Reaper & Ninja, my favorite jobs + the aesthetic is right up my alley! And as always, I'm delighted you can pick it up before starting Endwalker MSQ. (Great for a 2nd playthrough in the future!) And I'm over the moon for the FFXI x FFXIV alliance raid. ❤ It gave me great motivation to finish my FFXI New Player Experience series before Dawntrail launches! 😁😁😁

Absolutely! I thought of you too when I saw it, and it would be fantastic to have those videos out for people looking to catch up on what they may have missed not playing XI before the alliance raids come out! That vpose for viper is just... *chefs kiss*

I'm from Europe, I watched it live. IDK about the new class. It'll start at level 90, meaning absolutely no learning curve. It looks good and all, but maybe I'll pick it up at a later date instead of right at the start. Alliance Raid: Never got into FFXI (meaning I stopped after 20 or so minutes), but sure, why not? I'm interested. Graphical updates: I like it, but what they showed on the stream wasn't that great. The focus on minor differences on the characters' faces didn't do much for me. I'm sure it'll be great ingame as a whole, though. Fall Guys: Not a fan of that game. I'll try it once, but unless I'm positively surprised or the rewards are worth it for me, I won't spend much time on it. FFXVI collab: Sure, I'll play it. For me, another interesting part was that there will be a conflict between the scions in 7.0 MSQ. It's an MMO, we need to be on the same page in the end for the story to continue, but I would very much like it if we could choose which scions we want to side with and truly make it our own experience.

Great points! I was wondering if that was going to be the case when Yoshi P was asking the audience which scions they hoped would be on their side. It would be interesting if you legit got to choose - like when they separated the MSQ into two different paths early on in ShB getting to choose which scion to check on first. It could be an 'either way leads to B' scenario but it divides the players for a while and makes zone bloat and crowded NPCs less of a problem! And I think the new class is starting at level 80, but it's not like the extra 10 levels is really going to teach you much... It will be the same scenario as it was for people learning reaper and sage... You'll get into your first levelling roulette sub 70 and have no idea what you're doing. 😉

even though i was initially waiting for the caster i may very well play viper for dawntrail unless the caster looks really good

Agreed! 💜They're intentionally waiting to announce caster in Japan (the home crowd) so I have the feeling it's going to be something highly anticipated and traditionally Final Fantasy. That being said, it's going to have to be pretty spectacular to have me considering it over Viper at this point because it was just love at first sight!
