Thinking faster than you talk isn't strange, can you articulate that differently?
@pingubitches53049 жыл бұрын
+FOURTEEFIVE Yeah, obviously. Trying to talk faster you can think results in not actually talking. What he means is Nardwuar has fast ability to articulate thoughts. I know people who stutter, pause, find it difficult to fit together a clear idea and get confused trying to talk even at a regular speed. It's just an ability of the brain, like co-ordination and math ability. It varies from person to person, but you can practice it to get better!

I definitely do, especially talking faster when I'm excited and have a lot to say. I've been working on that for years, to try maintaining an even keel under the pressure of wanting to say a shitload at once, on the rare occasion of being intellectually stimulated in a social setting. As I get older it gets to be more like when I was younger thinking about sex, "Oh wow, I might get laid tonight" but these days the rare luxury is "Oh wow, a good conversation where we're contributing to each other's ideas and not idly tearing each other down or playing one-upsmanship on unimportant things"

I LOVE how the guy tries to "pull a nardwaur" by namedropping one of the places nard used to play shows at and nardwuar goes into a 5 minute tangent into liquor laws , meeting courtney love, and a random factoid about the history of the place. Such genuine appreciation and love for the punk scene Is on display here. Legendary

Really got me thinking after Henry Rollins told him he thought ol' Nard was "wasting his life" back in the 90s interview... But looking at this boy now; his own record label, loves what he does and has an insane talent for it, pretty much Snoop's homeboy at this point, and has interviewed the likes of Gorbachev... As well as repping his homeland of Vancouver/BC. Idk. I'd say he's done alright. Not to mention he's easily one of the most polarizing things to hit the earth since Marmite. Can't think of a single person that's neutral on him. Love nard or hate the nard. He'll be rocking in the free world regardless. (EDIT: My god he even froze at the end, the ledge. The absolute madman.)
@dsy4578 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty neutral towards nardwuar. Love the side of people he's able to pull out, but, I don't really care for his adherence to his interview formula
@Chameleonardodavinci8 жыл бұрын
Yeah I can definitely agree with that, for instance the Eric Andre interview would've gone in a whole other direction had he been less rigid with his script.

+Jack Off uhh if you're talking about wikipedia then, and I'm not a dick, but I have no clue where you even heard that from. Don't say "oh Nardwuar said that" because he fucking did not. The only time he revealed any way he gets information was in the Nirvana interview when Courtney Love asked him and he claimed he reads the information in books. He knows stuff that isn't on Wikipedia so I know that's false. Again, not being a dick, but when you just assume something like that I have to let you know you are wrong.
