We need more reviewers telling us how bad the fan noise is on all devices. its so depressing when you spend tons of money and your device ends up being super loud all the time.

Bios 317 on the ally is perfect. I'm still on bios 317. You can barely hear anything.

@@andreadorno7722you should upgrade the bios... I'm on the lastest bios and the fans are quiet

Are you 18 or so? You do understand how freakin impossible it is to run triple aaa titles on such a cool small device? It’s a new market and it’s fascinating to see. If you want some super silent device downgrade to the switch or play on a pc / modern laptop
@marumisu9560Ай бұрын
@@codecampbase1525 Engineers can absolutely do things to make their devices run quieter but that's not a priority. If you ever had an xbox series x or s you would know how silent a machine can be while running the latest games and that's all due to a custom heatsink and very good low noise fan. Low noise absolutely is not impossible. If we don't complain about it, manufacturers will do nothing about it.
@codecampbase1525Ай бұрын
@@marumisu9560 are you serious? You do understand that a xbox series x or s has a much wider case and can host therefor much more efficient cooling hardware and bigger fans (which are physically more quite than smaller, compact fans). Comparing a freakin full sized console to a handheld is totally the point i try to make: you have no idea what you talking about and dont appreciate the things we have these days. If you want a quite device, buy a watercooled pc.

Asus ROG Ally : GPU Workload 0 % Lenovo Legion Go : GPU Workload 97% not a fair comparison
@quananginh94466 ай бұрын
the bigger question is, why is the device using 97% GPU when idle?

Have a ASUS tuf gaming laptop and they are the best. ASUS knows how to cool a device with low fan noise. Have this thing since over a year and it’s a blast

I had 2 Lenovo Yoga laptops and both aren’t working anymore, had a replacement for one but the replacement died too. So that experience gave me trust issues with Lenovo. Gonna get the Ally soon

Hi Guys. Just looking into buying Legion go. Has the fan noise been sorted anyhow with the new updates ? Is it possible to at least make it equal with Rog Ally on 15 W ?

Great comparison! 😊👍

Is it normal that the Rog Ally draws more air and with more "power" from the left side than from the right?

The video show that a process on your Legion Go is using your gpu to 98%, no wonder it tries to cool it ? Just saw on your other video that you have mafia 3 launched ...

If the Legion Go is discharging when gaming plugged in then that's a deal breaker... You'd literally have to stop playing to let it charge and would be even worse if you had an accessory like the Legion glasses in tbe other usb-c port
@MGTMaxGamesTech7 ай бұрын
Yes, this is very annoying. But they can fix this with an update if they want. At this point this is really really annoying.

Except the Legion Go has the best screen on the market for a lot of uses (best for reading and playing video, the best in both resolution and color saturation). Valve has HDR OLED but it would have to be 1600p 144hz like the Legion to be perfect.
@Shaunymac107 ай бұрын
@@budthecyborg4575it really doesnt though mate the argument is flawed because the big screen isnt necessarily a a good thing to some people, if all legion go has is a big screen then no wonder its getting so much hate, asus and steam deck is perfect size to some people with the added bonus of better features, sure legion can detach its controllers but i never gave a shit about that when switch had it id always connect a pro controller which you can do on the other handhelds anyway?
