No one tells a story like letterman. I’m roughly Dave’s age. 3 adult children, 4 grandchildren and probably counting. I love it. I always said the same thing about childbirth to my young colleagues when they were expecting. It’s the most amazing collision of joy and terror you will ever experience. You get one, Harry. Enjoy the trip.

It would have been more politically correct to say “we” named the baby, but the full name and the inspiration behind the name came from Dave and his side of the family.

David's father's name was Harry Joesph Letterman, therefore his son is, also, Harry Joseph Letterman. 💝 In 2000, David told an Esquire interviewer that while growing up, he admired his father's ability to tell jokes, and be the life of the party. 💞 His pop, Harry Joseph Letterman, survived a heart attack at the age of 36 when David was a young boy. 💕 The fear of losing his father was constantly with Letterman as he grew up. 💔 The elder Letterman died of a second heart attack in 1973, at the age of 57.🕯 David's father, Harry Joseph Letterman ( April 15, 1915 - February 13, 1973 🕯) was a florist. ⚘️ I've never seen a hint of arrogance, from David. He's a proud papa, here, and we're so gosh darn happy for him, always. 🌹
