Hi all this Vid is my thoughts on Fanatec GT DD Pro, Pros and Cons after using it for the past 6 Months plus and Rig Setup Tour.

I just made the upgrade from CSL Elite to DD Pro a week ago and it was well worth it, I only upgraded the wheel base because I have the V3 pedals and formula rim. You won't regret it!

Nice setup. I had the same bundle but I upgraded my pedals to the CSL Elite Pedals V2. I can really reccomend these. I also ordered the QR2 on Black friday. I'm looking forward to try it out when it finally arrives 😀

Thanks for the message, yeah I've also ordered the QR2 but only the Base side at the mo as the wheel side is out if stock at the mo but looking forward to that. You'll have to let me know how the new QR2 feels 😁

You can buy the damper kit for the pedals. I have seen a few vidoes with it on the throttle pedal. In the BBF advert I think. Might be worth a look.

I have the Podium DD1 and it also does the turn I have to hold back. Happens not very often but still.

I think the one of the latest Software updates should fix this, once I get my new laptop I'll update the Base and check.

@@mattsellings My computer isn't near my man cave so updating is difficult. My DD1 firmware is almost 2 years old. I'm getting the DD+ in 15 days allegedly and PD will have to update GT7 to take advantage of Fullforce. I'm wondering what wheel GT7 will list with it since the DD+ doesn't come with a wheel. Hope the DD+ blows my socks off.

Hey Matt :) does the Dell Monitor have built in speakers? also, how did you plug in your speakers? through the "Headphone Out" port? (I assume they are Powered Speakers, like Computer ones?) Are you happy with the size of the monitor? (I'm unsure if I need a Monitor or a TV for my PS5 rig I'm going to build) Sorry for all the questions!!! LOL. Hi DonsShed, ok so to date I've gone through 4 monitor's 1st was 27in and the other 3 are 32in. My current monitor is a LG UltraGear 32gn600-b which is a VA monitor. The previous 3 were IPS Displays (LG, BenQ and Dell) the problem I had with them is I was getting image retention. It would go away but would then come back when I start playing again. So far my LG VA monitor doesn't have any image retention (3 months so far since new) so 32in for a rig setup is a great size I'm really happy with it but if I could afford it I would go for a TV setup that supports 120hz so something like a 55in LG Oled (that's the dream 😁) All the monitor's I had have headphone jack which I plug in pc speakers and they are powered by plug. Hope this helps.

@@mattsellings it does thank you 😇 I was initially looking at 50-55" TV's.... but now I've been looking at an AOC 43" Monitor at $1089 AUD..... or a 48" LG OLED, but that is $1899 AUD on special, so my wife might kill me if I bought that, on top of the $5,000-$6,000 Sim rig!!!! LOL 😁

@DonsShed yeah those are all good sizes but yeah can get pricy. What cockpit are you running? I'm looking to upgrade to the GT Omega Prime lite sometime in the future.

@@mattsellings I don't have a cockpit as yet, just using the hand controller LOL..... but looking at getting an 8020 Aluminium Extrusion Rig, Fanatec DD Extreme Pack, Elite V2 or Clubsport V3 Pedals (can't decide), Handbrake and Shifter 😁 Yer, the GT Omega Rigs look good. Unfortuneatly, GT Omega don't sell their rigs in Australia at the moment

Hi, please tell me what is the weight of the steering wheel of the DD pro?

Swap your configs for R1 and R2. You will never be pressing the overtake button when changing DOWN gears, so this will solve your over reaching problem.

​@@mattsellingsthat impressive the gt lite pro can handle that. I assume you have no flex issues?

@DoctorJedi Year the GT Lite handles it quite well you do feel the extreme bumps through the rig ie running over high curbs but overall it works well especially if you can't afford an aluminium profile rig. But that's what I would love to upgrade to, the GT Omega Prime Lite 😁

So I game on a 32inch but I would if I could get a 55inch oled any bigger on a racing rig I think is to big

Only RaceRoom, rFactor2 and Assetto Corsa have proper FFB, everything else is just a "Turning a wheel into molasse" simulator.
