That is funny, i was looking at a fuzz pedal for my orange amp, and was looking at the swollen pickle, orange themselves advised it, but i take it this goes even better with an orange amp, nice.

Ordered the fuzz. I've got the kongpressor, getaway driver, walrus fable and the boss slicer on my wishlist :D think I'll get a new one each month. Using them with the orange crush 35rt. Think that will do well for my first pedal board. Any recommendations for future pedals? I'm not sure what's essential and what's more gimmicky.

IMO Orange amps pair extremely well with fuzz pedals. You get a fuzz made BY Orange...and demo it through a Morgan PR12. I am confused by this decision.

Really wanted to see getaway driver into fur coat, using a low gain on both and utilizing the dual eq effect to shape the light drive, into fuzz, and light octave over top of it for super big tone... I was hoping lol

I have the Fur Coat pedal and I can confirm that the sound they get in this video is probably the least usable sound the pedal can provide. Rolling off (or turning off) the octave setting produced some really nice full fat fuzz tones that even work well with solid states. I don't know why so many of the demos insist on gunning the octave and making this great pedal sound very niche.

That first setting on the fuzz, everything at noon seems to be the sweet spot, sounds pretty good. But make any small adjustment on any of the controls from that one setting and it turns to cr*p.

So what is the deal with Morgan amps? I don't really get them. They sound like low powered solid state amps to me. I don't mean to be rude when I say that though. I'm honestly just confused. Is the idea that they're pedal platforms or do people actually think they sound good on their own?

Justin Ions Its a fuzz pedal. The sound of fuzz was originally based on the sound produced by faulty/broken equipment. It's kind of meant to sound awful. But a really fun kind of awful.

Justin Ions I would have to tend to agree with you on this one. I'm listening through headphones and was absolutely excited when I saw Orange doing a fuzz. I love fuzz. But my heart broke when he started playing it. Waaaaay too much top end for my tastes. Notice that the presenter's favorite setting was to whack the EQ down to zero, to lose that grating whine. But then it just sounded like he threw a couple of sodden blankets over the amp. I am personally not quite sold on this one. I think I'll just stick with stacking my Fuzz Face, Big Muff and DS1.

Last week I wanted to buy a fuzz and a decent octave together under 200€, the only thing close was the mxr octave-fuzz but i hate the fact that it's just either full throttle fuzz or nothing.
