No doubt about the effectiveness of the simple F fly it known for its no nonsense easy to tie fish catching properties. I have taken the principals and added my own twist on the pattern, with a pearly butt and a few strands of CDC as a tail. I have high hopes for this one!

A really nice tie Lindsay...love the pearl butt and CDC tail...and totally agree with your comments re: using split thread dubbing loops...much more 'fishy' looking, slim and robust flies IMO...have a great season now that the sun has finally showed itself :)
