Thank you for sharing this great pattern. I just had a friend here in the states ask me to tie some up for him. The picture he showed me for his favorite and most effective one is this exact pattern. I just tied up 2 dozen for him. Unfortunately my moose hair is too old and brittle, so I ended up subbing in a stripped peacock herl quil for the body and left exposed white thread between the turns to imitate this same segmented look.

I like my flies to last a bit longer than one or two fish so I put down a bit of zap-a-gap(super glue) before wrapping the moose main forward. That's the only change I'll be making on this Barry.Thanx for the pattern. Tight lines everyone!👍

It just sinks. Like a stone. I put hella floatant on it and still sinks to bottom in no time flat. Pretty fly though.
