I think their main issue is that that they have that competition in the beginning which mean that only one person contributes to the ideas, it would all work better if they worked together to make the design

I personally think, as the person who has to live in the design, it would be better to do this. One person's design could have "won" but pull the best ideas from each. I don't think competition is lucrative. We are trained into thinking it's a form of entertainment. But that's a very unhealthy approach in most situations.

I feel like they don’t really understand the theme she wanted, it sounded like she wanted a very luxurious and neat room but they went for a 9 year old princes ballerina room. No hate but her reaction looked a bit fake to me to. ( that's how i think about it!)

YES! there are cord covers- they are cheap and you paint them the same color as the wall and it looks clean and finished and not amateurish.

They cheapen the look of sconces on the wall. This is such a pet peeve of mine, usually it's with hanging lamps that have been awkwardly hung up and your eye follows the path of the visible cord instead of just enjoying the light fixture itself. These women have decent ideas, but the execution is usually lacking.

It looks cheap. i hate that the headboard is narrower than the bed. The vanity blocks the light in front of the window and makes the room look smaller. I think becky‘s design was overall better

It is such as shame but all I see are the couple of inches at the sides where it does line up. It is a great effect but I think if it was lower and rectangle and as wide as the bed or wider it would feel more glam and statement. But there were really good ideas. They did well for something so out of their comfort zone.

From the comments I expected it to be terrible. It really wasn't. Yes there's room for improvement, but overall it was completely fine. Personally, I felt it looked a bit monotone and everything was glam on a budget; but that's just reality (budgets). They definitely have a lot of potential as interior designers, and practice makes perfect.

One thing, I don’t get...if you don’t know, how to do something (like cutting foam), why don’t you just...google it? Or have one of your crew find out? That way, you would get a more professional result and also teach your audience a useful skill. Like the result btw, even though it’s totally not my style. The room still looks a little bare, but the basic elements were nice.

The wainscoting would've been super cool if it was a metallic color i.e. gold or silver. Also, for Gaby I would've totally done a Marie Antoinette Versailles inspired design. It screams Gabi and her whole queen show. Also, it would've been great if they did pink velvet curtains. Nice and thick and glam.

I really love how detailed and thorough Becky’s designs area. She has a really good sense of furniture placement and space/circulation and she has specifics for every single area, piece of furniture, wall, etc. while also bringing unique ideas to the table. Keep up the good work!

Ok not one of your best for all the reasons other people listed. My question is, what happened with my girls who use power tools? You should have totally used one on the foam, a jig saw, or the electric knife. Pizza cutters don't really "cut" pizza, think rotary cutter that are used for cutting fabric, in the quilters section. Be careful they are sharp.

It's annoying that many of these comments are saying, "Why wasn't Becky's design picked~~!?" Okay yeah her design was awesome but the client wanted a current glam look, not a vintage look. You can tell that's not her vibe. It is what it is, everybody has different tastes. 🤷‍♀️

That green foam you used for the headboard is actually something we sell at the fabric store I work at and we use an electric carving knife like what you would use for turkey to cut it. Hopefully, that will help you for the next time 😊

I'm not a fan of the hanging wires, but they do state the property is a rental and they're probably not allowed to do electrical work on that kind of scale. Changing over hardware is one thing, adding built in lights is something else completely.

As soon as I saw the second design I knew she was going to pick that one. The first one was gorgeous but it was tooo royal style, Gabi has a more of a simple pink and grey vintage style.

in my opinion, the headboard was way too skinny, the wires made the room look bad, the silver furniture looked fake and just didn’t really match. it overall looked young, not fancy. 😬🤷‍♀️it didn’t really fit gabi’s personality
