That is some addition to the shop, your taking the metal sheets to the wall and then adding the slash cuttings and making it into log uprights. I like what you've done. John

I worry about those heavy bar clamps just hanging there. Might want to use a bungee or something similar across them to secure them from falling. Shop is coming along!
@bboomer7th
@bboomer7th Жыл бұрын
Yes, when one pipe clamp falls on your head, you will notice it. At this cool shop I worked at, we cut slots in a chunk of 3/4” Baltic birch ply for this reason. Fastened to the top of the existing ledger it will provide peace of mind. Failing that, snug the sliding portion to the ledger, but sometimes that can be a pain. Unsolicited advice from Sunny Manitoba.
@NorthwestSawyer
@NorthwestSawyer Жыл бұрын
I actually tried a bungee and found it caused clamps to fall when trying to remove it. With them hanging flat against the wall, they don’t seem to want to move. I’ll have to address it if it becomes a problem.

Might have to take out a few staples and re-route your wire to pick up a few more inches if that plug needs to be used often. Likely should have used a romex connector at the back of the fixture as well to keep the wire from getting pulled. By code it should be clamped there and the connector protects against rubbing cuts by the sharp edges on the fixture. Just a thought.
