Aadat by Jal band has been one of our favorites. Aadat arguably is one of the greatest songs of 2000s. In Indian Aadat was featured in the movie Kalyug and Atif Aslam lend his voice for the song. Now almost two decades later member of Jal band Goher Mumtaz recreates his iconic song Aadat for Nescafe Basement season 5 featuring Bhanwaray, titled 'Aadat Instrumental'. Aadat and Wo Lamhe were originally composed and written by Gohar Mumtaz. Atif and Gohar were the band members of Jal. Atif left Jal after Aadat. Atif took original composition and lyrics of Aadat and Wo Lamhe and released his own album Jalpari and put these two songs in his album without caring about copywrite issues. Mahesh Bhatt listened to Aadat and Wo Lamhe and he took Atif to bollywood. Atif changed the lyrics of these two songs for Kalyug and Zeher. Moral: Gohars songs made Atif Aslam a Rockstar!

Let me tell you a story; Once upon a time there was a JAL band Atif Aslam, Farhan Saeed & Gohar Mumtaz were the main singers, But Gohar Mumtaz was song writer and lyrics etc, with the time Atif left and few years back Farhan left the band too, only person who still making sure the JAL Band stay alive is GOHAR MUMTAZ , that's why in this video he was singing HUR JAGAH JAL. Jal means water.

When Atif released this song in his solo album jal pari it became anthem of that decade for Pakistanis and then Mahesh Butt introduced Atif in India... Atif and Gohar were band members and Gohar originally written and composed this song.

Goher mumtaz dont like Atif. so he dont want people to think of this song only belong to Atif. Goher Mumtaz was the actual founder of Jal band. and he was the main musician, he is the one who created this Aadat music and Atif took credit for everything. well Atif then left the band and so now they both hate each other. thats why no lyrics of orignal aadat song were added maybe.
