Honestly, as a Dazai kinnie, I don’t understand your interpretation of Dazai here. Why is he acting so silly and uncaring? Like, I understand him acting that way to an extent, but Dazai knows when to be serious regardless if he feels sympathetic or empathy towards other people. After all, let’s not forget he’s trying to become a BETTER person and him being more empathetic towards others is apart of that. As an example, he didn’t need to help Atsushi during his mental breakdown after Kyusaku used his ability, but he did help him. His method might’ve been a little harsh, but it was the only way to get through to Atsushi. And that’s just one of the many examples non-spoiler related. I understand him being silly even in serious times to lift up the mood and since that’s just the kinda person he is, but there’s a point where he knows when to stop, so I don’t know why he’s acting so non-serious and cold the whole video.
