I wonder if anyone explained to them the true usage of "Bless your heart"? I was at both their panels this weekend. My daughter asked the question at 18:08. We also got a photo and autograph. They were awesome experiences!
@FandomSpotlite6 жыл бұрын
They were fun, but I think they are still vague on what it means. Bless their hearts.
@andrewbowman46116 жыл бұрын
Bless your heart is a more personal variation of 'bless you', as in showing gratitude, and its intent is utterly sincere, usually. In the UK, at least.
@lukeevans60706 жыл бұрын
Andrew Bowman Exactly if you say "aw bless" in the UK thats more insulting I think
@andrewbowman46116 жыл бұрын
It's certainly more condescending...
@jessicathompson83656 жыл бұрын
I'm afraid that's not the way we use it in the American south. Here, we use it as an all-purpose qualifier to soften the blow of an insult or criticism. As in, "That boy's elevator don't go all the way to the top floor, bless his heart!"

12 and Bill Potts reunited....😃! This was one of the best panels I've seen so far this year..... second to this year's SDCC with Jodie Whittaker, Mandip Gil, Tosin Cole and two others. The questions and answers were a joy to hear; funny at times, off cue on others, like what animal would make a great robot companion.....a 🐈. ( let's not have a battle with K-9... that would be..... awkward.. just saying ). My favorite Capaldi panels from last year were ( in order ) Miami, New York City, San Francisco, Baltimore ( although an abridged version )and Minneapolis....( I need to see last year's SDCC panel, I heard it was EPIC... but everybody knows that ). I'm a casual Doctor Who fan from Southern California, USA who appreciates the Twelfth Doctor tremendously. At first, I didn't like him... from the start ( Season 8, 2014 ) but by the time Season 9( 2015 ) arrived, that changed everything. The various looks, those sunglasses, his guitar playing finesse and the stories, especially Heaven Sent, I was hooked, 12 finally grew on me. And Season 10 ( 2017 ) was a sensational sizzling thrill ride with the additions of Pearl Mackie ( Bill Potts ) and Matt Lucas ( Nardole ). And by the time Twice Upon a Time arrived, it was one of the best multi Doctor / regeneration stories I've seen. Many fans cry when the Doctor regenerates.... I applauded and I teared up...a little and said " You the man Capaldi, you the man!" Let it be said that the Twelfth Doctor will be remembered for possessing the incomparable and electrifying power to quickening our pulses, heightening our senses, captivating our emotions, an amazing charisma, a superior intelligence, the most dazzling fashion sense, an irresistibly prickly sweet punkish spirit.... AND most importantly, leaves us absolutely breathless. While I'll be welcoming Jodie Whittaker's Thirteenth Doctor and her companions Yasmin Khan Ryan Sinclair and Graham O'Brien... and Season 11 on October 7, I will never ever forget Peter Capaldi's Twelfth Doctor. It's been Rock and Roll for three glorious years... and I love it. Thankfully, I've recently purchased Doctor Who: The Complete Peter Capaldi Years Set, so I can step back into the Gateway to everything that ever was, anytime....or until October 7. Phew, that was a MOUTHFUL, but thank you Fandom Spotlite for posting this wonderful panel of Capaldi and Mackie from the 2018 Dragon Con... and rock on Capaldi, you scary handsome silver fox genius from space you..😍. 😄.

Thanks for uploading this. I was there at the panel and was able to ask a question. AFAIK, DCTV isn't allowed to broadcast these panels due to BBC rules regarding the actors in Doctor Who.

Interesting information. As no announcement was made prohibiting recording and we were not hiding what we were doing, I am pretty sure the BBC won't come after us. :-)

@@FandomSpotlite I believe it's due to DCTV doing things like charging for their streaming services and DVDs. Since you aren't charging for this, it's allowed. Thanks again for loading it.

Arcs aren't always the best: they got too crazy in Series 5-7 - not to mention the issue of plot points masquerading as characters. But, yeah, here's to better scripts!

Peter Capaldi wanted a memory wipe to restore the mysteriousness of the show, say what you want but that's exactly what Chris Chibnall made happen.

I grew up from the original William Hartnell Doctor and all the way through. The TV movie, for me, fell short and in some ways I think foretold Chibnall's rewriting of Dr. Who lore, mythology and possibly cannon during Russell T. Davies, Stephen Moffat's era's as show runners and Chris Chibnall's totally messing the continuity up, as was witnessed in Capaldi's last season and Jodie Whitaker's entire run as the Doctor. Even with RTD coming back, I have very mixed feelings about it due to the way he dealt with the 3 Christmas specials.
