The next set of WizKids Icons of the Realms minis, Fangs and Talons, has arrived! This set offers up a ton of high quality epic minis from a variety of different D&D monster types. They'll be available to the general public on November 11, and I must say, I think they knocked it out of the park with this set. I would definitely say that the quality of the models have improved. The larger models have always been significantly better than the smaller ones for detail and colouring but looking at the Incubus and the Tabxi Fighter they seem brilliant.

Wanted to add @ 19:34 the splotching actually is in the Blue dragon art, going back to the Draconimicon, so those spots are very intentional. I recently painted up a Blue Dragon, and those spots inspired my different paint design. They however do not usually show up on minis, which just goes to show the level of detail these ones have.

on the rotating pedestal, use a tape measure and stick an adhesive dot in the center. That'll speed that part up.

The quality of minis and the paint job is waaaaaaaaaay better than the old WotC minis released in the 2000s. I've loved repainting D&D minis for years, but I feel that I have to do that less and less with each set.

Measure the center on your lazy Susan and just put a dot sticker there. Then you know where to place the model every time m8. Plus your camera can be locked focus on that spot as well before you set a model. Turn off auto focus and zoom out just a little bit. Should be rock n roll from there. Good luck.

This is easily the strongest line set of minis they’ve come out with as far as variety of need to haves, not to mention the detail. I won’t have any issue picking up blind boxes for this set because I want them all

The minis are nice looking, but they do miss a little definition and another 30-45 mins with a painter. For what they are they are good though. Having just painted some of the elementals, they do all have faces in there. The ghast spore looks like they forgot to paint the mushrooms on the top of it, they could have done something there.

Dude, I have some minis that are literally like solid black plastic, with some light brown splattered on the legs for pants, and a beige globbed onto the face for skin, and that's it. Pre-painted quality has come a looooong way.

03:48 - yeah there is Incubus art in the monster manual. They have the same stats as Succubi since the two are basically the same creature who can take different shapes.

it annoys me that the bases dont match the sizes. i got the adult sapphire dragon a few weeks ago and he's taking 3x3 space, but his actual model is the bigger than my ancient white from 3.5... not only that, its wings take up more space than my gargantuan ancient red (!) which takes 5x5 space. im starting to be worried about how much space the gargantuan green dragon they'll release will take, cuz i really wished it'd match the old blue black white and red models from 3.5 so i can finish the set, but now it seems like it'll be even bigger than the old red, which ruins the set...

Any chance you can provide what the numbers of the minis are, so we can know which are Commons, Uncommons or Rares? Would be useful for the mini community. The Banshee and Green Hag were released in earlier sets too, indeed - these are re-releases but the models are posed differently with new accessories, like the Hag's basket.

I really want to pre order fangs and talons. But I still haven't recieved my preorder of icewind dale brick that I ordered in July so I don't really see the point. Sucks how inaccessible d&d is outside of the US

Wow! Absolutely no doubt about it. The sculpts are better than before and the painting quality has improved a ton! I’m afraid this might cause a price increase thought (but it might be worth it). These are all incredible and I’ll definitely be buying a full case now.

I watch a lot of these, and have a modest collection of WizKids stuff, and I think they must have changed up their process, because the sculpt and paint on these is fantastic (I mean for an on the shelf prepaint mini) I think the cleanness of the sculpt, and the paints are probably the best I've seen, ever, from one of these lines. I want this one bad, and I might even spring for the set.

09:05 - There isn't a Marid yet in Icons of the Realms, this is the first. There are 2 Marid minis, the first from the old WotC D&D minis and the other from Pathfinder Battles.

Yeah the brick will be random, the set that I received is only available to those who do reviews/unboxings. They sent this set of the same minis to all of us

No the bricks are all random like usual. A brick is just 8 individual blind boxes together.

So as a massive nerd for Dinosaurs I have some critiques for the Trex mini. The large knobs on its skin look similar to a crocodiles Osteoderms (I think that’s how it’s spelt) the Trex wouldn’t have these something like Carnotaurus did. The head is also way too small with far too few teeth if you’ve ever seen a Trex skull you know they have loads of teeth crammed in their but other than that the Rest of the mini looks super good and obviously in your world Dinosaurs May look different but honestly if you can find a similar enough scale you might be able to find a toy that’s more accurate. But having seen all these minis and their quality I might bite the bullet and buy my first minis

No, this is a special box they send out only for preview purposes.

@@dragonmk123 Yeah Wizkids recently changed their preview method, they will be sending the same box to every reviewer instead of blindboxes. Not a fan of the idea, as this means we will know far less minis revealed before release.

@@NerdImmersion I doubt 8 boosters or a box would have any difference in shipping. However, many people will decide only after knowing what's in a set whether they will buy a case or not. So for them it is integral they know what's in the set. We know most of the Huge/Large minis, but they only included 6 mediums and we know of a few more from the box sides. Also, this isn't so good for you previewers either... because the guy who gets the first video out will get the most views, people will be less interested in subsequent previews if they contain the exact same minis they have already seen.
