I agree. Although, there was a lot that I fast forwarded through and edited out. The structure in the head is the most difficult part due to so many screws.

Don't worry!! Look, I finished my DeAgostini version some months ago, and now that FanHome has released it, I'm buying another. A few points: You will get to a point to install the device that pops up the light saber. That assembly has wires at the bottom that can be messed up when the head rotates. Just pay attention. Know, also, that you will need CA (or "super glue") occasionally. The light saber specifically. Don't worry, just take your time. Enjoy!!

The phone App? When my R2 was finished I downloaded the Android version. Worked, difficult to connect. THEN my phone(s) updated to Android 12 or 13, which the App doesn't support. Bought an iPad to see if the Apple ios version works.

They delivered a light saber. So you do have something to open the bags with -g- Can it recognize all family members? You could use him as a courier. Record a videomessage for someone, have him find the person and play the hologram. The app looks well thought out. He looks amazing. And the size seems to be just right for appartments. But 2 years.. This is too long for me. Sure, it's a big model and the pieces come monthly. But i have to dedicate a table for it or constantly put everything away and pull it out again. And i would worry if the company lives that long. I would love it as a 3d printable kit and buy the electronics pack. I would worry so much less about getting the parts and if i break something.

I don't know why I can't see my comment from earlier but the comments are only the top ones and the newest ones. I'm wondering how you made the gap in R2’s head and body come together, I watched episode 25 to see if it was in there but it wasn't and I don't see how you finish it in this video either, I know it's going to be a problem and I want to know how to overcome it from someone that has already built him. It seems like there's not a gap anymore in this video so what did you do to fix it?

@@YourGeekFix I have the old Hasbro model, circa early 2000's, which looks about the same size as this one but not nearly the same build quality. It could take commands like 'Go On Patrol', 'Do You Remember?' (followed by star wars character name), but the 'Dance Program' was my 3-year-old niece's favorite, so that one's stuck in my head forever. Sadly one of his wheels is broken, so I may have to get this one to relive the magic.
