I loved this flick. But overall I prefer the 2013. EDR is still legit tho. The make up is maybe the best ever. The 2013 one has demon battle/attack scenes that are just next level.

They turned into deadites because they were infected. The mother was possessed on the elevator, Bridget through the tattoo-gun scar because the mother was licking her scar, Danny through the blood vomit from Bridget, and the other neighbors probably from their fatal injuries.

Actually I just rewatched it and when Ellie picked up the tattoo needle she pierced her temple therefore infecting the needle. When she sliced Bridget with it she also infected her. She didn't lick her as Danny stopped her. Awesome film BTW ❤️

It wouldn't have mattered if she didn't puke on him cause either way he would turn. I liked the way everyone turned in this film. The glass eating scene though is genius, so good 😁

This movie killed at the box office, $120 million dollars! There's a clever easter egg in the movie, where our main protagonist listens to a record, and one of the voices on the record is that if Ash Williams, Bruce Campbell, having been sent back in time to the 1920's, 1930's to stop the Deadites from being resurrected.

Sorry forgot to add this but the original movies are also full of funny parts as well as scary because the Deadites are so weird in some ways and they like to tease those around them as well. The first two were more horror than comedy and the 3rd was mostly comedy and campy as well. Yes the chainsaw goes back to the original...the second movie in fact. I have not seen the show yet. This is sam Rami's baby so to speak because he created the first three movies and actuallly the original Evil Dead is what put him on the map as a horror director and everyone knew his name after that.

Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2 (1987 sequel and remake of evil dead 1) and Army of Darkness are great Evil Dead classics, the 2013 film is definitely worth the watch too.

I love this movie, and yes, you should watch the original trio - They're all very different movies and all really good in their own right! This is one franchise that the favorite will wildly vary among fans! I love them all! This is one of the most consistently good franchises. Not a bad film in the bunch!

Technically the mum was the first one posseed cause it happened to her before Jessica in the cabin at the lake after what happened at the lake it came up as one day earlier so what happened to the mum was the day before you saw what happened to Jessica you saw it first in the film but the mum was possessed technically first in the film
