I have a theory. Theory: Majin Kuu will go and fight Tamagami 1, but he will be defeated and based on that Marba and Dr. Arinsu will create a second Majin with the second Saibaman seed, but they throw in a few extra things, like maybe Dr. Arinsu was able to get some of Dabura's DNA when she went to collect pieces of Majin Buu, and they add that in and that grows a second Majin Kuu maybe a Majin Kuu 2, which is why he has the cape, and the other Majin leak, Majin Duu will be made through other means, like you said, maybe they get DNA from a yellow enemy that hasn't shown up yet, or something.

The cape on majin kuu does give him more style points and even help somewhat improve his design (never underestimate what good drip can do for a characters design, even if its just a cap), but I still hate the shape they gave his head 😭.

Future Trunks arc, TOP arc, Zamasu arc and the God of destruction mini tournament arc in super was 🔥 Animation could've definitely been better but they already said they rushed the first season of the anime. Daima’s pacing is excruciating man. This makes it THREE times that they’ve repeated the stolen ship plotpoint lmfao, can the writers not think of any other possible way to get the cast from point A to B? For an “adventure” series the writing is very formulaic, things aren’t organically expanding, these plot developments feel super forced. Slice of life stuff was nice though. Majin Kuu is probably the worst designed villain we’ve ever gotten, even if he seems to be a goofier villain. The pink on the face feels like an afterthought, like they remembered that this character is apparently a Buu character and just made the face pink. This also means that his color wheel is horrendous as there’s WAY too much green and not enough pink, there’s no real color separation. Tori didn’t cook with this one. I can’t wait to see the reaction to the other villain we have coming up lmfao. Daima needs to make a cool villain design at some point if they wanna draw more viewers in.

I completely disagree lmao. Everything is flowing perfectly and we’ve already made substantial progress in just 8 episodes. The character interactions are on point, the pacing is fine if you have an actual attention span, things flow into each other neatly and extremely tightly, etcetera etcetera.

@ yeah so I’ve heard this “attention span” excuse a lot for this show, but no the flow of this series genuinely has some problems. We’re a third of the way through the series and this show inorganically pushes itself along instead of naturally branching out like something like Dragonball for example. The fights being gorgeously animated on horses with boxing gloves also feels weird, but I think that’s done bc they’re the only real fights in an otherwise banal and boring episode, so that’s done to remind viewers they’re watching a shounen show. Every episode has been walking/dialogue -> obtuse lore dump -> fight scene -> lore dump for the ending of the episode. The first lore dump is usually from the hero side, and the last lore dump is from the villain side. The villain lore dumps feel the worst because they ABUSE the “as you know” narrative trope like it’s nobody’s business, it’s incredibly forced and a lot of plot devices feel forcibly revealed to revisit later as opposed to actually weaving them into whatever is presently occurring in the episode. And the stolen ship thing can’t just “disagreed” with lol, like come on they’re using that way too much at this point. Once is fine, twice is a bit eh, but three times just kinda shows some laziness with the writing. That’s not “neatly” pushing the characters to another plot point, that’s lazily repeating a premise to move the plot along because you genuinely cannot think of any alternative way to do so. Daima is a slow show, I don’t think it’s purposely slow, but that poor pacing is because the show is *so* formulaic that the lack of any real curveballs is leading to very boring episodes. It’s very predictable. Things being so quiet from this show when we’re at ep 9 out of a ~20 episode series is bad actually, I hope the next half of this show picks things up after it’s done all of this obtuse lore.

I gotta admit, I don't like the Kuu design either. It's not awful, but just... meh. It's a Toriyama design, to be sure. But a post-kanzenban design, ie; of much lower quality and lower badassness than what he came up with in the late 90s. Not that all of his recent designs were bad; in this show specifically, I love Arinsu and Glorio's designs. But Kuu? I'll pass. Could've been a lot better, meaner, and overall cooler. Marba said the further you put the seed in the cauldron the more majin Buu essence you will have but there will be less control. I think the second one most likely is the second seed with more majin Buu essence but it has less control hence the red and black eyes as well as the antennae that Buu has.
