I don't know how many people noticed this, but Maresca's stamp on this team is clearly showing. We crossed the ball 21 times into te box in the first half alone, which we haven't done against other teams. Clearly, he studied them and knew that we could catch them out there, culminating in Cucu's header. We're taking it game by game. If, IF, the title comes, it comes, but we don't go chasing. I understand why he played Enzo off the right today (give Cucu the space to drive next to Palmer who was central), but it didnt work for me. Enzo and Sancho were vital in the last few games because of their chemistry and playing off of one another, but with Madueke he does not have that same chemistry. Nor does Madueke bounce off of the inside 8 the same way as Sancho likes to. I wouldve liked to see him shift Enzo centrally and Palmer off the left half space, which they kind of did in the second some times, but still. Caicedo and Cucu were unbelievable, engines of the team and played their hearts out. Enzo ran like crazy too, Sancho great work defensively as well. Sanchez slander needs to stop, like EM said he's made some massive saves this season already, the errors besides Brighton have been overly criticized. Much like Enzo and Cucu coming around with the fans from getting slagged off, Sanchez will as well.
