Took prestige mode away, took the “arcade style” out, had the worst map designs of all time, and introduced warzone which took focus away from MP. To say it’s great is simply wrong, maybe a good game on its own, and that’s a big maybe, but not even close to a good cod. As someone that’s played since WaW consistently, MW2019 is the worst cod, even with games like vanguard and infinite warfare

And right when you start to think you've got this in the bag you suddenly hit a wall. All of a sudden you're getting insta-melted and shooting rubber bullets. Every game im stuck having to use meta weapons and ect to compete. Clearly you are in the protected bracket so you not even playing the same game players such as myself are playing. And I'm not obsessing over the matchmaking I'm just speaking from my experiences, reason i haven't touch BO6 in a week cause I shouldn't have to endure that type of toxicity or stress to enjoy a video game. Disbanding lobbies after every match was a mistake, I remember when matchmaking put you in a lobby and left you in that lobby until either you left or enough people left that the only option was to disband the lobby. It also made the map vote feel more significant. Keep skill based matchmaking in competitive or ranked play, but in casual, connection should be king. I can tell when I connect to a lobby that's far away versus one that is closer to home.

It's not just 'matchmaking'. Ricochet's AI is just messing up your gameplay once your doing good. You get spawnkilled a couple of times, ghostbullets, getting killed by packetburst ore wondergrenades. It's treats you like you're a cheater once you do good, while real cheaters run rampant and you have to play against pc in ranked. It just feels horible. Ypu get punished for doing good! Makes no sence and it defenitly the only reason I hardly play anymore.

The biggest issue with SBMM is every game feels the same. Nuketown plays horrible on it too. You’re either spawntrapping or get spawn trapped. I leave any lobby that my team is not playing the OBJ. I even leave games of Dom and hardpoint right at the end of the game if I’m losing so I don’t have to wait through the annoying poduim emotes. Matchmaking already takes long enough. I don’t wait through that if I know I can’t win

I jitter almost every match. Connections always seem inconsistent. Some of my friends literally won’t play with me anymore because of how sweaty my lobbies are. I don’t want to play either, and certainly don’t have fun playing solo. I used to join my friend’s lobbies so we could all have fun and play casually. But with that recent “2-box” update it took my ability to join my friend’s lobbies away, since we are in different skill brackets. So it’s either don’t play together at all, or try my lobbies since the matchmaking works by the best player in the lobby. Then all my friends get stressed and don’t have fun, and we go play Zombies.. Like you said, Zombies is awesome.. BUT ~5 times now we are playing and the match just freezes.. online always Zombies was a horrible idea. For no reason, randomly, all 4 of us die, and then it says “server disconnected” You try to have fun and something else about the game frustrates you and pushes you away. It’s a shame, the game has potential, but is ruined for all casual players, regardless of skill level. Because of this unnecessary matchmaking. Imagine all the effort they put into EOMM and SBMM.. if they put that time and effort towards map design, connections, gameplay.. and making a simple casual fun COD like we had back in the 2010 era.. Back to Forza I go..

I think the real problem is that more and more people, content creators especially, grind all new games to death so that their life cycle is extremely short, and then these sams pdople are surprised somehow, that theres nothing to do in the games that they were playing non stop for weeks so they could be the first ones to have some camors or random shit like that. People have no life/play balance anymore. I live in Pittsburgh with gig xfinity, and i have the same issues. When I play Overwatch, Finals, or Delta Force, I dont have these issues. 12600k - 7800xt - 32 gig ddr5

The games just aren't fun anymore. Being spawn farmed on shoebox-sized maps, sweating in every game, no sense of long term improvement, no variety, major issues introduced with every update, constant connection issues for years on end, bloated/confusing UI, predatory monetization constantly shoved in your face, etc. all contribute to an overall feeling of being milked like a farm animal for Activision's benefit instead of having _fun_ playing a game.

Casual player here. This weekend event has been the most miserable experience I’ve ever had with COD multiplayer, by far! I’m a 1.3 and I usually play with a friend that around 1.0 and our lobbies usually fluctuate between casual and slightly sweaty. But we’ve had to resort to just playing zombies for the double XP because our matches have been so unbelievably brutal our W/L has been about 0.3 and we’re consistently at the bottom of the scoreboard just getting destroyed by Dark Matter/Pestige Master players. If there’s no improvement after this event I’m gone for good.

I finally reached master prestige this weekend. I mainly play zombies. My SBMM Is so bad it feels like I’m playing Ranked every game. I have 1.2 KD just grinding camos. I finally played with my friend who just bought the game and it was like punch in the face how easy it was. I got 20 headshots the first game I struggle getting 5-6 normal just based on everyone sliding around and jumping and diving. Once he left for his job right back to CDL and ranked guys beaming me across the map with meta guns.

Not sure if anybody else goes through it but I get this weird complete game freeze for about 3-5 seconds when picking up a ground weapon no matter if it’s warzone or multi. Red card also causes some weird frame drop issues around P5 hardpoint. On an Xbox series X, never had these types of issues in prior games on this console

I have a 4090, a 7800x3d, a high end motherboard and granted my internet is middle to upper class and i have exactly the same issues, sometimes my lobbys just do not even work from the start. So save to say it's the game

No issue with any other game. PC is an animal so I know these issues are related to cod. Very choppy gameplay not a smooth experience.

My lobbies over the weekend were really sweaty. Connection wise my only issue is the ping/latency is all over the place. I can get a 10ms ping one game and then 70 the next. Really inconsistent.

I havent played COD for about 2 weeks now and have put about 20 hours on Cyberpunk 2077. Fans don’t want no sbmm they want OG cod from 2010 back. No sbmm at all is not good as shown with xdefiant. Heavy sbmm like all current FPS games have is not the answer either as it’s too punishing and splits friend groups up. MM needs to go back to 2010 or before SBMM

Xdefiant was totally fine though. I'm probably an average player at this point and it was still way easier than cod has been in the last 5 years. People were jump spamming and stuff which was annoying, but the average player in a lobby was still usually pretty mediocre and it was easy to do fairly well on a consistent basis.

The game just doesn’t work lol. 2 examples. 1) I won a free for all game but on the final screen it showed me in 3rd place. 2) my operator randomly changes. When I see my death cam, my operator isn’t what I have selected. lol

Btw I stopped grinding for Dark matter because of how bad the spawns, maps and they were even sweaty as hell and also, I was using NoLagVPN and I was still getting sweaty lobbies and I decided to only go for the Nebula Camo and yeah Zombies is good like no bullshit and surprisingly the weapon XP good in Zombies with double xp enabled and you can easily prestige in like two days maybe. So I’m just going to grind for Nebula because I believe it’s more worth getting than dark matter. Also Zombies is not optimized at all because I have a 3080 Ti and a 5800X3D and I’m getting like less than 144FPS with low settings and it’s even lower when I have a lot of zombies around and shooting them Edit: sorry that I have to edit this multiple times

Zombies for me runs buttery smooth, 60 fps, no packet burst, no nothing, same with the campaign aside from maybe a couple of frame drops, I dont have a great PC, only a gtx 1650, but I hop on multiplayer PRIVATE GAMES with two friends, and its packetburst galore.

YES! This weekend the MP has been terrible! I have played 7 games and not even had a remotely close game where enemy team are sliding around and my team is laying in spawn lol. For me, I always have lobbies that end at the beginning of the game like.. How? People quit at the first minute or even before the game really starts. I suppose is the really bad maps. For the Treyarch games always run the worst. But this is the worst feeling so far I think. The game is no fun. I went back to mw3 and the movement felt so bad. But the experience is so much better.

The multiplayer is dog shit. I have been playing cod since call of duty 3. Stopped after black ops 2 and played here and there on mw19 and the new mw2 and mw3 games. The worst thing to me is the completely distorted time to kill. Old cods were consistent and the time to kill was fast. These new games it feels like you have to dump an entire clip into someone with an SMG to kill them?
