Cant believe someone actually took the time and effort to modify each track, mad respect to you dude As for criticism, my real only criticism is that some of the trees can be kinda unfitting in some tracks like the light green trees in new york minute and the palms in dk mountain, or that the colors on mushroom gorge look a bit too dark but other than that incredible job on this mod

A few changes I think would help: Add back the visible sun to MC3 (along with some of the realistic conical trees in the background), also I feel that Choco Mountain's colors are a bit off, the brown is so dark and saturated it looks almost dark red. Great job on Sunset Wilds though! That is the best attempt to add the sunset that I have seen. One thing you could try is to try and have the sun still there, but have it disappear while the player isn't looking? Same with the moon appearing. Or have neither of them shown, though maybe add some "brightness" effects to the area where the sun set. Just some thoughts, they may not work.

@@urobo_ nope, they replace all the tracks of the booster course pass so they cannot be used on wii u since it doesn't have the pass. Sorry!

This remake of Sunset Wilds basically proves that you can still make the track have a functional sunset. Even if they couldn’t implement it, they could have just chosen another GBA track.

I don’t think that the problems with coconut mall were the change in the color palette, but instead the difference in the liveliness of the track. In MKWii, there were hundreds of miis cheering you on from the sidelines, from inside shops, and that was entirely lost in the remake. Now, there’s barely any NPCS, and most of the shops are completely empty and the sidelines only have 3-4 piantas standing around.

​@@randmiller88I would have played with that: as easy as turning off the fountains, making the staircases glitch, closed shops with "we have moved / out of business" signs, and an active shooter on top of the roof.

@@RudeRabit on gamebanana there's a mod that does exactly what you're talking about called "Booster Course Pass Reverse Fix". There's also another mod called "Booster Course Pass Reverse Reverse Fix" that changes waves 2-6 to look like wave 1 also. Check it out!

As much as I preferred Sky Gardens original colors from the GBA and tour, I'm starting to see why they changed those in 8. They look really weird in 8s lighting

I do feel like a few tracks got changes that hinder them a bit. For example London loop and choco mountain are both supposed to be sort of misty, and making the colors more saturated kind of kills that vibe (though the improved textures and detail still look good). And some decisions like the ninja hideaway skybox and lighting, I prefer the original (I like the decision of making the interior more dark, but the outside should be brighter moonlight to contrast.) it not only hinders the visuals of the outside, but gameplay too since at some parts you can barely even see the track. Imagine if somebody puts a banana in one of those harsh shadows, you could barely see it (or if it wasn’t shaded that would look weird). By and large though this is a really cool mod. Some of the other creative decisions are incredible though, especially the orange grass on Maple treeway. It fits the color scheme much better than the green (though I don’t necessarily dislike the green, it just makes it a bit less autumnal feeling). Though I still think the color scheme of the original wii version was best, the deeper maroon colors it had looked sooooo nice with the orange.

I will never stop saying this; the fact that fans can make the tracks look better than the actual developers shows how much more fans care about the franchise, and that’s incredibly saddening coming from Nintendo 🤦‍♀️

Finally a MC3 improvement that actually looks great. What I love about this mod-pack is that it doesn't go overboard. Everything feels like it fits right (unlike some other attempts I've seen) Unsurprisingly, BC3 appears unchanged, it looks so good already.

Actually the sky box is changed, being higher quality and removing the super cartoony clouds the original had. Which is great, because the base game skybox was so unfitting

Some of the greenery does stick out a little bit in some courses but I love that it kinda attempts to match the art style of the base game, especially in Paris and Los Angeles. I will say some of the sky boxes don't fit super well I'd say on Rock Rock Mountain and Mushroom Gorge. It's just too dark imo. Maybe a brighter more muted blue sky would suffice on those courses. I like what you did with Athens but the folliage sticks out a bit it's brighter compared to the other folliage that was already there with new textures. LOVE what you did with Sunset Wilds! Overall you did a fantabulous job! Some courses I can't see much of a difference but a lot of them look a lot better.

I see what was the modder's intention with Sky Garden but the green floor mixed with a blue sky and tinted with yellow lighting looks kinda ugly, the floor should've been a rocky grey like in the Tour and GBA versions.

I think the real problem with this version of Sky Garden is the gold lighting effect. Basically, the sunlight. Especially towards the end when you see the colors of the vines that make the shortcut. The color of the lighting doesn't mix well with the colors of the stuff it's reflecting off of. Otherwise, the rest of the stage looks great imo.

I really like what was done for Sky-High Sundae. Making the sky more gray was a nice touch to make the course easier on the eyes.

I will say, a lot of them have been improved, Wave 1 is a huge example, I mean, I am very surprised! There’s a lot to go through, some being vastly improved compared to the original! I like that Athens Dash in this mod was set to sunset, it looks amazing! And could work if it had an option for both day and sunset, even night could work! GBA Sunset Wilds is a huge example though, the sunset changes between that all the way to night throughout the race, Nintendo missed the key element so badly, that people noticed, and people are literally slamming them! If this course was in the next game, they’d better get it right, because we need the original element to come back! All of the Wave 6 tracks still look great, there aren’t any differences I could note, aside from GCN DK Mountain with its finer details. Overall, an amazing job!

Definitely an improvement, but I was disappointed to see a lot of the flat, plastic-y, oversaturated grass/rock/etc. textures remained unchanged. Even so, many of the replacements, and especially replacing the plastic-y trees with models from the base game, are a major improvement!

My only problem with this is that the grass sometimes looks a little too dark. And certain skyboxes were fine as is. Like ninja hideaway

The orange grass on Maple Treeway looks GORGEOUS omg… I love how that track looks in the BCP but that little detail elevated it so much. Also a huge fan of the sparkly ice in Rosalina’s Ice World, absolutely stunning, and love the skybox tweaks to MC3, Sunset Wilds and Athens dash It also always amazes my how much more ‘base game’ something looks with the remodelling of trees and bushes - really great work ✨

The glow-ups the mod creator gave to the Wave 1 tracks in particular really show just how barebones of a job Nintendo did on them compared to the rest of the BCP. I am in awe at how much of an upgrade Toad Circuit looks now. And they also remembered that Sunset Wilds is supposed to have, well, a sunset. How Nintendo completely screwed something as simple as THAT up I will never know.

I'd be absolutely thrilled with just the better lighting and making certain textures look less like plastic. The slight tweaks the mod added to these courses were great as well. I really wonder why the developers, at the very minimum, didn't use the grass and foliage textures that were already in the game.

Not gonna dismiss the hard work the mod creator put into this. Any and every mod creator is worth their salt regardless of how small or big it is, but I feel like some tracks got next to nothing change-wise. Boo Lake as an example. Maybe it's just that it was demonstrated on 200cc, but I saw basically no changes in the track from it's original BCP iteration. Maybe making the stage dimmer and the lights shine just a wee bit more would do the trick? Or even make the light post underwater shine blue because of the antigrav? I dunno, I don't do mods, but I still feel like Boo Lake could've definitely gotten some more love in that regard.

This graphic mod for mk8 bcp looks great. If there was ever a name for this kind of texture modpack, i would've called it something like project detour because....well y'all know why by now xd Besides that, a handful of tracks really needed that change up, especially tracks that have a lot rocky cliffs like rrm & koopa cape for ex. Even if they never really originally bothered me to begin with In conclusion, i love it & i tip my hat to whoever or group of m8s that created this modpack

Not a big fan of base game assets added to bcp tracks cuz they always stick out like a sore thumb but Honestly it’s still really solid, I didn’t really like sky garden, gorge, riverside, and Koopa cape, but everything else was either pretty much the same or great!

Kalamari desert honestly looks worse. It's super dark while the sun is literally blinding your screen. It makes no sense. In other tracks the trees used don't match with the color of the grass and looks like they're glowing on their own. These are really good attempts though! I'd take some of them over the originals, but I'd take the original BCP on other occasions. Great overhauls!

ok, so here's my judgement on all these tracks: Paris: Worse (the skybox looks too stretched out) Toad Circuit: Better (tho it could look more vibrant) Choco: Better (tho the dirt road should be way darker like in 64 and ds) Mall: Better (still wish the cars moved like in wii and 7) Tokyo: Still the same (aside from base game assets) Ridge: Slightly better (grass and rock textures still look flat) Sky Garden: Worse (attempting to recreate the og's visuals won't always make it look better) Hideaway: Better (wish it looked more vibrant, but the details are just so good that idc that much) NY: Still the same (used to be a smidge worse before the update since the trees' lighting wasnt baked well enough) MC3: Better (yeah, what else do i need to say?) Kalimari: Better and worse (great texturing, but lighting is weaker) Pinball: Still the same Sydney: Slightly worse (road texture at beginning is too bright and some grass areas are still too flat) Snow Land: Better (more rock retexturing could be done but ill take it) Gorge: Better (used to be so much worse before the update because of the dark skybox) Sundae: Worse (base game visuals dont work for sweets levels) London: Better (holy shit that new road texture's lowkey 🔥) Boo: Better (not much that needed to be done regardless but wtv) Rock Rock: Better (i dont need to address the obvious) Treeway: Better (autumn colored grass is goated) Berlin: Better (the trees on the straightaway looks really good) Peach Gardens: Worse (i like how it's more vibrant, but good god the texturing got so much worse for the grass and dirt) Merry: Better (solid rock and bg mountain retexturing) 3DS RR: Slightly worse (road is still the same shit-looking texture but the moon is way too dark now, tho at least it has somewhat better texturing) Amsterdam: Better (the grass is grassing, still dislike the divets in the first section tho) Riverside: Worse (tree leaves color are just barf and dont fit the track's general color scheme) Summit: Better (wood texture at beginning is REALLY good and the rocks look tasty) YI: IDK (some changes were decent, others were eh) Bangkok: Slightly better (Skybox is slightly more orange-ish, but still not enough to be considered good looking) DSMC: Worse (why remove the funny cartoon hills :( and why's the track less vibrant) Stadium: Still the same (im struggling to find a single visual change to this track) Singapore: Better (base game trees really compliment the track's color scheme, modded riverside should take notes) Athens: Oh good God what happened (the sunset blends in with the architecture and the base game trees lighting is horribly unbaked) Cruiser: Still the same (again, what was changed?) Moonview: Better (base game trees fit) Squeaky: Still the same (no differences yet again) LA: Better (trees look nicer, but the grass in section 2 could be a more vibrant green) Sunset: Better (i dont like the sunset in lap 1, but thankfully it does have the setting gimmick, so it saves the track from looking worse) Cape: Better (same reasons why Rock Rock looks better) Vancouver: Uuuuh (the trees in the forest section look off, but the ones in the park looks good) Rome: Still the same DKM: Ever so slightly worse (trees colors are out of place) Daisy Circuit: Better (palm trees fit this time) Cove: Slightly worse (the trees look a little eh) Madrid: Slightly better (nothing major except just base game trees) Ice World: HOLY SHIT (me when glacier textures 😩) BC3: Better (congrats, you got the goofy ass cartoon clouds out of there) Wii RR: Still the same

My honest opinion on every track retexture for Wave 1 (Doing this for every wave, read replies for the next waves): *Tour Paris Promenade:* Although the additional textures and base game assets are nice, albeit minimal, I'm not really a fan of the skybox used here. This skybox from the autumn version of the Animal Crossing track gets reused WAY too much in custom tracks and retextures who want to have a sunset, to the point where I get tired of seeing it used. Sure, it's nice, although after seeing it in almost every sunset ct, the novelty of seeing it wears off. *3DS Toad Circuit:* A good retexture of the infamously worst looking track of the pass. I appreciate the texture work here, although the lighting is a little too desaturated for my liking. *N64 Choco Mountain:* Texturing has been added in places that needed it, although I don’t like how much the road contrasts against the mountain itself. *Wii Coconut Mall:* I’ve seen this one before, some areas look better than others, and overall I feel a little more could have been done to texture the inside of the mall. *Tour Tokyo Blur:* Still looks mostly the same apart from additional texturing and base game assets added in areas featuring greenery. I feel like a lot more could have been done, but then again, it’s Tokyo Blur, even if it had base game levels of texturing it would still look quite bland. *DS Shroom Ridge:* Personally, I've seen better retextures for this track. Aside from additional base game assets being used (Idk if I am a fan of how big the flowers are in the glide ramp shortcut area) there isn’t that much improvement all around, as in if you squint your eyes, you probably won’t notice any differences. *GBA Sky Garden:* I appreciate the attempt to mimic the road in the originals, although I feel a better texture could’ve been used, or even better, a texture made from scratch. And, as with most Sky Garden retextures I’ve seen, the lighting has been sorta botched. *Ninja Hideaway:* I’m actually very impressed with this retexture! Improved texturing has been added all around, and the inside of the manor looks amazing! I think I personally prefer the more vibrant lighting from the base track, but I also dig the dark and gloomy vibe this retexture is going for. Overall, easily the best retexture out of the Wave 1 tracks for me.

My honest opinion on every track retexture for Wave 2: *Tour New York Minute:* Fairly decent, they could’ve added more texture to some places, especially the grass and dirt road. The base game trees look out of place here, maybe if the leaves were darker it’d fit more. *SNES Mario Circuit 3:* Love the updated background, looks like a background they would’ve used for this circuit if it returned in the base game. Only downside to this retexture is the sand, could’ve used a better texture imo. *N64 Kalimari Desert:* Cliffs have been given texture, although lighting here has been downgraded, to the point where it makes the road look like it has no texture. *DS Waluigi Pinball:* Not much has been done here, which is understandable since the track looks good enough as it stands. Maybe it could've used a few textures here and there but I’m not complaining. *Tour Sydney Sprint:* Some areas look better and some worse, and the grass still has minimal texturing. Overall I think a little more could have been done. *GBA Snow Land:* One of the first Snow Land retextures I’ve seen that actually makes the track look better and actually improves upon what made it look so good already. The road is beautifully reflective, the new skybox is amazing, and the addition of base game trees is appreciated. Overall, even though not much was done, this track didn’t didn’t need it since it already looks great. *Wii Mushroom Gorge:* On the other hand, I think this retexture makes Mushroom Gorge look worse. The track’s lighting is now much darker, which makes it feel very lifeless for me. And though I appreciate the darker grass colors, it just wasn’t given texture for some reason. In general, a lot of work needs to be done I’d say. *Sky-High Sundae:* First of all, not a fan of the new skybox used, I feel a more vibrant one could’ve been used in order to keep the colorful vibe of this track intact. Other than that, I actually do like that they kept the texturing minimal here, since this track is made of sweets after all, and the ice cubes being translucent now is a nice improvement carried over from the Tour version.

My honest opinion on every track retexture for Wave 3: *Tour London Loop:* Texturing for the road here has been improved a lot, although I feel more texture would have also been added to some buildings as well. All in all, a solid retexture. *GBA Boo Lake:* Similar to Snow Land, they improved upon a lot of aspects without actively making the course itself look worse. Wood texture has been added to the light posts and so on, and textures have been added to background objects such as the mansion. Once again, a perfect example of how a retexture of a track should be done with the base quality of a course like this. *3DS Rock Rock Mountain:* I honestly don’t know how to feel about this one, many textures and assets have been improved and some have been made worse. I do like the cliff color change, and the addition of base game trees, although even if I think the texturing overall looks better, the new lighting and simple geometry of the track as it stands just makes it nothing more than a serviceable retexture for me. *Wii Maple Treeway:* An unexpectedly good retexture! The autumn grass really adds to it and makes this track a lot more beautiful looking than it already was. Only minor problem I have is with the lighting in some areas (especially the end) but overall, a surprising retexture to say the least. *Tour Berlin Byways:* Nothing much was done here, but I do like the trees used in the main straightaway section, not sure if or which track they originate from, but they work excellently here. Other than that, more could’ve been done to other areas, such as buildings, interiors, gardens, etc., but overall a solid retexture. *DS Peach Gardens:* What happened here? Why is the road and grass texture here worse? I don’t know what they were going for here, but from what I can tell nothing has been improved here, the only real things done here is the grass and road textures being nerfed, for me at least. (Just noticed texture has been added to the base of the trellises, good job on that at least). *Merry Mountain:* Not much has been done here except base game tree assets being swapped in here. I do appreciate that, as this track already looks amazing, though another thing I am thankful for is the fact that they didn’t try to mess with the skybox. This skybox, in my opinion, is one of the best, and I feel as if I’ve seen way too many ct’s of this track that replaces it with some other skybox, which I feel hinders the quality of the visuals and lighting most of the time. *3DS Rainbow Road:* This track’s visuals were kept pretty much the same, the major thing changed here is the moon, which now has new textures. I do respect this change, although I feel that it doesn’t fully fix the issues here with the moon. One change I am not a fan of however is the asteroids, they look generic and out of place as opposed to the more interstellar feel of the ones in the base track (I'm sorry interstellar was the best word I could think of to explain my sentiment).

My honest opinion on every track retexture for Wave 4: *Tour Amsterdam Drift:* They actually improved the grass textures while keeping the spring feel intact! Aside from that, not much else was changed here besides base game assets being introduced, though I don’t know how I feel about the canal sections being darker now. In summary, it’s a nice improvement, though maybe could’ve used more texturing on the buildings and such. *GBA Riverside Park:* This is one instance where I feel the base game tree assets actually hurt the track’s visuals. The ones in the background are okay, but the ones featured around the main track just feel unnatural to me, they don’t really give me any jungle vibes. I believe the only way to improve these trees is to make completely new assets for them, as I don’t think any from the base game will suffice the role. *Wii DK Summit:* The wood textures added at the start of the course are much appreciated, but other than that only base game tree assets and minimal textures were added. The mountain could look better but that’s mostly to do with the simple geometry so I won’t really blame them for that. *Yoshi’s Island:* Like Sky-High Sundae, I actually like that they didn’t go overboard with new textures since this track doesn’t really need that, and only added some in necessary places. *Tour Bangkok Rush:* Pretty much looks the same, which I’m fine with, although I don’t really like the water in the canal section being less visible than before. Other than that, it’s just the typical criticisms I have about more texturing being done to buildings and such. *DS Mario Circuit:* Grass here was made darker but not really given any texture, and that can apply to the rest of this retexture really. Again, base game assets being added is appreciated but I personally am not a fan of how dark this track looks. More could have been done to improve this course. *GCN Waluigi Stadium:* A fairly simple retexture, but it goes a long way. This track is already one of the best textured courses in the pass, and this retexture only touched up some areas left behind. *Tour Singapore Speedway:* The addition of base game trees and assets actually really elevate this track unlike Riverside. This track already looked great and looks a little better with this retexture.

My honest opinion on every track retexture for Wave 5: *Tour Athens Dash:* I am baffled by how much the sunset improved this track's looks. Even though the lighting and sunset was done expertly, the additional textures still leave more to be desired. *GCN Daisy Cruiser:* This track looks almost the same apart from minimal texture upgrades, although in this instance I’m not entirely sure how I feel about the weathered look of the wood on the deck, though in the end it’s only a minor, almost non-issue for me. *Wii Moonview Highway:* Looks pretty standard, base game trees were added, but not much else. I do believe there are more opportunities to improve textures in areas, although it is what it is. *Squeaky Clean Sprint:* Literally looks the same, not much else to be said about the changes made apart from the bottom of the bathtub looking more reflective I believe. Most of the visual issues, if there are any, about this course for me lies in the simple geometry department but that is something most retexture mods aren’t willing or able to fix. *Tour Los Angeles Laps:* Once again, the base game trees really elevate this track similar to Singapore Speedway, though I’d argue even more so due to the summer feeling this track exerts. Other than that, I do believe more could’ve been done to texture buildings and such. *GBA Sunset Wilds:* While I do admire the attempt to bring the sunset mechanic back into the track, the lighting overall suffers greatly because of it, but I’m aware that is an issue modders aren’t really able to fix. *Wii Koopa Cape:* Like Rock Rock Mountain, I’m not sure how I feel about this retexture. Sure, the cliffs have been made gray but then again the geometry is still pretty simple. Aside from the addition of base game trees, I feel more texturing could have been done. *Tour Vancouver Velocity:* I do like the autumn trees used here, as they’re pretty much better versions of the ones used before, but I don’t know how to feel about the base game tree assets being pasted on top of the cartoony Tour tree bases in the Capilano Suspension Bridge area. Like Riverside, it looks kind of unnatural to me, but aside from that, this is a solid retexture, only other criticisms I have are ones I’ve stated for almost every other city track.

My honest opinion on every track retexture for Wave 6: *Tour Rome Avanti:* First track where I could confidently say I haven’t noticed any differences. Probably because Wave 6 is still sorta fresh out the oven, but I digress. This is already one of the best looking city tracks in the pass so there was no real need for too much change, although maybe a little for texture on some of the buildings could’ve been added? *GCN DK Mountain:* Once again, the base game tree assets come in and act as a nice upgrade. I also like the new skybox here, and the removal of those random cartoony clouds still around the track. I also respect the effort to make the background even more detailed, although is it just me, or are those light blue patches in the foreground of the mountain the skybox? Or is that supposed to be water? Either way looks like an error and should be fixed if it is. Overall a great retexture. *Wii Daisy Circuit:* Again, almost nothing was done here except the addition of base game assets here and there. Maybe you could’ve added a little texture to the buildings, but that’s just me. *Piranha Plant Cove:* Updated tree assets was all that this track majorly needed, and it received it, thereby I am now happy. *Tour Madrid Drive:* This track didn’t see too many upgrades aside from base game trees and such being added. My criticisms are pretty much the same as for any city track. *3DS Rosalina’s Ice World:* This retexture is an exceptional improvement. The ice walls were given its own unique texture that works incredibly in tandem with the rest of the track. I’m honestly glad they were given this texture instead of some generic ice texture from the base game that more than likely would’ve ruined the vibe for this track. Overall I have no complaints, a simple but amazing retexture all around. *SNES Bowser Castle 3:* Okay I lied. THIS is the only track where I cannot notice any texture differences. Makes sense since out the entire pass, this is probably the best looking track. *Wii Rainbow Road:* I may have lied again, since this track seems to have almost no changes. I believe the road may have been made more vibrant, but don’t quote me on that. Overall, this was a track that didn’t need much change and I’m glad it didn’t receive it. Okay I'm done now.

this is a surprisingly good mod, tho the colors on some of the track feel too washed out like coconut mall, and making athens dash a sunset track is certainly a choice. still a good mod

If I'm honest no they don't The lighting is often jank, and most buildings are still made of plastic, the foliage is often either too dark or too light, making everything look weird, and, while understandable, these models where not made for these textures so stuff just doesn't work, or feel to empty relative to the texture quality

It’s kinda funny to think about, but every wave of the dlc butchered one non city track- wave 1- coconut mall with the cars originally as well as the escalators and parking lot being shrunk Wave 2- waluigi pinball with there being no anti gravity and the pinball loss sound no longer playing when you enter the tunnel at the end. Wave 3- rock rock mountain because they changed the glider section so you can’t just glide past the second glider ramp like you can in tour and 3ds if I’m not mistaken. Wave 4- dk summit, they forgot about the snowstorm that slowly dissipated to clear skies by lap 3. Wave 5- sunset wilds, need I say more? Wave 6- dk mountain, something feels very off with the textures and lighting, and they made that one shortcut way more difficult and made it less worth it to go for, and the bridge doesn’t look like it’s swaying in the wind anymore, it’s swinging so rapidly. Honorable mention- maple treeway, when going out of the glider cannon, there is a hole in the leaves of the tree you fly towards, well you don’t go through it, you actually go slightly under it and there’s no way to go through it. So why is it there? That aside, this is just my opinion and if you don’t agree that’s fine, just thought I’d share! Also, this is still my favorite game despite these little nitpicks I have.

I'm happy to see such a mod to exist! But I think it needs some more work. Give it a bit of time, with additional work on more than just the graphics, and hopefully it will make up for the original's short comings. Unless Nintendo somehow decides to do it themselves in the meantime.

I will say, Mushroom Gorge looks a bit too saturated when outside. Maybe turn that down? The grass and road are already really saturated and making them darker doesn't help, it makes it look like the lighting was turned off instead. The cave section is perfectly fine though

For some tracks I can barely see a difference. For some tracks I can see some cool improvements. For some tracks I see a HD remake. But for TOO MANY TRACKS, I saw a fricking RESURRECTION !!!
