It was awesome to see Zeb. Definitely the best Mandalorian episode we’ve had in a while. I’m really hoping we’ll see more Rebels characters soon like Sabine or Hera. I’m really excited to see a lot of them again in Ahsoka.

He also looks VERY VERY similar to Jaro Tapal from Jedi: Fallen Order, Cal Kestis's Jedi master. So, that could be why some found him familiar as well. In Rebels, Zeb looks more mean, but "live action" softens up the features and makes the race lookalike, I guess. Main difference being Zeb has a longer goatee/beard.

If they don't recognize him from Rebels, they must be confusing him with Jaro Tapal because they must have played Jedi Fallen Order. Also, as I said.. the live action makes the race lookalike, so it makes sense if anyone would be confused of the two. Besides, if they watched Rebels a long time ago, it's not difficult for anyone to not recognize the voice. I certainly don't.

I got all excited with the first reaction and then yeah it was little disappointing that they didn’t really believe it was him! I was stoked when I watched it myself. He honestly was my favorite character in Rebels.

As much as I was thrilled to see Zeb and hear that voice, as great as he looked, one feature that would’ve nailed it is had his eyes been bigger and more clearly yellow. That’s what I think of when I think of Zeb, and they really could have pushed it more. Still… prototype version, like Thanos in Avengers. Maybe his final design will hit the eyes better.

After seeing the Ashoka show, and seeing Sabine, Zeb became one of, if not my favorite rebels characters. I felt like Sabine wasn't written right, same with Ezra. Hera is alright though, but Zeb. I dont onow entirely why, but I love him more now than I did when watching Rebels. Of course Kanen is still the goat though

So, to recap: despite some fans saying Rebels wasn´t that good and shouldn´t be viewed as canon... it´s interesting to see that several characters from that show have made their return by now, prominently featured in Ahsoka and The Mandalorian - Chopper, Ezra, Zeb... and most prominently Hera Syndulla, Sabine Wren and Admiral Thrawn; the latter of course being an established "soft-canon" character for many years due to his roles in books and games. It´s also nice to see that they used the voices / actors from Rebels as well.

appears to be a sneaky screen test, it sisnt ruin the scene or really change it in anyway so it has no negative affects but it allows them to see the reactions of people to test how everyone thinks of the zeb design just before the ahsoka show, yea they couldve used any random rebel for that scene but they got some use out of it and added a cool cameo that doesnt feel out of place or affect the story in any way
