Grande. Muy grande el maestro Rodrigo. Fue de los mejores compositores del siglo XX, y encima español.

"Wow" is the shortest expression to describe this performance. I really enjoyed each second of it, and each played note. Musicality, phrasing, nobility. A nice record of this outstanding concerto. Thanks "Sanel" for this magical interpretation and your huge effort to achieve it.

Wonderful classy version. Intense, and not spoiled by over-romantic sloppy playing which can really destroy the beauty in this wonderful piece of music.

Superb performance! As usual Mr. Redžić brings new subtleties to an old war horse. My reference for this piece had always been Pepe Romero's outstanding interpretation with his bright punchy sound, his heartful emotion in the second movement and the exciting cascading scales and arpeggios in the "Canarios". Mr. Redžić brings his own uniqueness to the piece while still evoking those particularly Spanish-sounding qualities of Romero's playing we have come to identify with Rodrigo. Mr. Redźić has a darker sound, I think more full-bodied and also a different technique as opposed to Romero. I would unblinkingly prefer (for purely musical reasons, but also feel Redźić is better equipped technically for that kind of music) Redźić's Bach to that of Romero, but Rodrigo and Romero (include brother Angel too) are almost synonymous because the Romero's excell in this area and it's impossible to hear either the Fantasía or Aranjuez without their benchmark. They are a hard act to follow, which is why Mr. Redźić doesn't follow but rather creates his own voice (and I'm sure Pepe and Angel would approve!). But the result is equally satisfactory and I hope Mr. Redźić makes a recording of it. Mind you, this is a live performance and the recording quality is not optimal. I imagine that this live was breathtaking. Romero's recording is perfect but I would suggest you contrast -- remember, we're not ranking things here but seeking out what qualities make one great artist different from another -- this performance here with the video of Romero's own live performance of this same suite. There we see that Mr. Redźić indeed shows us a different Rodrigo (just listen to the "Danza de las hachas") that brings new life and light to the work. Finally, what beautiful stage presence that absolutely fits the music. There we see how this artist does not convey himself ("oh, look at me everybody") or his personal gestures in a narcissistic or theatrical way, but rather as the vessel through which the music simply flows naturally. Mr. Redźić is all about communicating the music to the audience. In this sense, he transcends the mere presence of a human being playing an instrument on stage and takes us into the domain of pure beauty without any distractions. Bravo!

Forgive me...but, it’s an honest question. Perhaps because I’m used to it played differently: Is 12:22 12:23 a fumbled note sequence? I mean no disrespect. I’ll delete this if I get an answer.

That was a short kind of what we call black out as I had to relearn the entire Concierto within 48 hours only. 😌 It happens...
