It was a mobile game at some point? No wonder this looked similar... The maps the player is running around at 0:35 and onwards look a lot like the kinds of locales you'd see in the Chaos Rings series, also by Square Enix.

I didn't get to play the original. Iirc, it was apple device exclusive, and as an Android user I was excluded. Even if I wasn't, I can't play games on phones very long without suffering crippling hand/wrist pain after a few minutes. So I'm very excited this came to consoles/PC! I finally get to play it and play it comfortably!

I think from App to Console there shouldn’t be priced as high , I get it was improved and added several scenery’s and audio but still no mobile game should translate the same price that just gives them an excuse to start doing it

When it’s a 60 hour full rpg it more than deserves the asking price. This was a console game locked behind Apple Arcade. If you don’t like it don’t support it, but personally I wish they would release the chaos rings trilogy on console like this too. Not every mobile game should get this treatment, but it’s good that a game like this is.

@@Mhantrax I'd say the issue isn't that AAA are worth their cost, it's that there are indie RPGs of comparable quality that are cheaper. Witch Spring R for example is another mobile game brought to other platforms. But that one is a full remake and it's only $40.

I played the original, had some complaints about it and I’m sure I’ll have the same complaints with this new version… nevertheless I’ll buy it at full price and I really think it worth his price : the unique aesthetics, the incredible music, the unique battle system need to be applauded. Triple A games are so blend nowadays, so generic, that I’ll gladly pay more for better small games like this one (Sakaguchi is on his own now and even if it’s published by Square, Mistwalk is a small studio).

instead of lost odyssey port/remaster we get this mobile game... that game stuck at xbox360, I don't want to buy a Xbox for one old game, emulation side Xenia still have audio problem with lost odyssey.
