I have a confession to make... I saw part of Prince Phillip's funeral... At one heartbreaking moment I saw the Queen bow her head, she looked so tiny and so alone. At that moment I felt so sad for her & all of those who lost a loved one and had to have a funeral alone or no funeral at all. But I also had a thought pop up without invite... I heard Russell doing his Queen voice, the one he uses when he impersonates the Queen calling for Phillip. Instead I hear his Queen sitting there, looking down, thinking to herself... "Oh bollox, I'm next..." I admit during this moment of sadness, I laughed and spat my cuppa on the cat! There was a definite WAP in our house... and he was PISSED!

I never liked Russel on Mock the Week, but listening and watching him on his own platform is so good. He addresses mature points of view but also keeps that childlike pisstaking quality which is rare to find. He's a model for modern thinking. Love him.

Russell is best on his own turf, I've found he can be hit or miss when bouncing off other people. Other comedians are the opposite, for example Noel Fielding is great bouncing off others but I saw a video of him at Live at the Apollo and wasn't a fan.

Kay Burley is capable of asking the most incredible (I am being tactful) questions. She was interviewing some bloke about an airliner that went down and asked him 'Who was on the plane?' Who would anyone think would be on it? Crew and passengers. Presumably she was hoping for an answer along the lines of Jesus, or Elvis, or Mother Theresa.

As someone from a fruit growing region I have to say there is a real problem with organized criminals systematically stealing the most valuable varieties (mostly the ones for destilling). They come at night with a team and harvest whole orchards. So I can feel the pain of those Welsh guys...

Ok, no joke, while I get Russel does this for comedy, the part about the apples and plums being stolen is hardly a joke because, for these farmers who produce these fruits, they are having their produce stolen, the same product which they sell on markets to make a living. It's basically the equivalent of a mechanic having his tools stolen, or a work office having their computers taken.

In New England, U.S our version of the fryer breakfast is a little different, our baked beans are heavier on the molasses and aren't as popular. I don't think I've ever seen it offered with tomatoes or mushrooms either unless it's in an omlette.
