This is amazing in two ways. He was just hired last month, and principal photography has just gotten underway. Since scoring the picture is at the end of a long production process; how is this in the can? It’s a testament to Giacchino and his own sensibilities as a filmmaker and deep knowledge of the genre that he can commit to a theme at this early stage. As well, holy heck the technology to create that bombast with acoustic realism presumably without an orchestra. Pure speculation on my part. What say you those that were there?
@matthewk49123 ай бұрын
When the original composer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story had to leave the project, Lucasfilm brought Giacchino aboard and he put together a decent store with very limited time. Giacchino is pretty good at producing quality material under serious time constraints, though of course the less rushed he is the better.
@BonJoviBeatlesLedZep3 ай бұрын
He did exactly the same thing for The Batman. He talked to Matt Reeves (who actually 'proposed' to him on stage when asking him to do the score) about the tone then pretty much immediately wrote the now iconic The Batman theme before a single frame was in the can. It's incredible. He helped set the entire atmosphere for the production of the film
@TheMBE20033 ай бұрын
Absolutely, but also this has to be a real orchestra. There's no way they got this sound out of a DAW. Giacchino would have the resources to make an actual recording happen probably whenever he wants
@mouselounge3 ай бұрын
@@TheMBE2003 that’s a claim. Let’s hear the evidence.
@TheMBE20033 ай бұрын
@@mouselounge I don't have any evidence, but it sounds like a real orchestra with a real choir. Besides, it's not like Giacchino is famous for his use of DAWs - he's a pretty old fashioned composer.
