I love tropes. I don’t care how many times it’s been done, if the author pulls it off, I’m happy with it every time. 🥰✨

I don't even like childhood friends to lovers but the relationships in FMA are just so good that it doesn't matter that I don't like the trope 🥰😭

If you want to read a fated lovestory, I can recommend the Fitz books in the Realm of the Elderlings series. It's a big commitment, the fate part doesn't even come up for many books. But it's beautiful, heartbreaking and my favorite series af all time. The series deals with how two characters are connected by fate and how their lives are entangled in the present and had been in the past. I cannot say more because of spoilers, but prepare for crying.

I really like the Witcher series and the character development/how they intereact with eachother in general, great pick! Same for Warbreaker. Brando Sando is not the best at writing romance (to say the least) but in Warbreaker the romance is just so sweet and cute it fits with his writing style. I want to read Winter's Orbit soon! It sounds like something I would love.

I read Winter's Orbit because of your recommendation, and I loved it! Also, your right, there is a lot of sci-fi plot, but the main focus is the developing relationship between these two characters. I reminded me a lot of some of those old romance novels I used to read ages ago, but better.

Thanks for these recommendations! I'm not really into romance usually, but you intrigued me with The Witcher's themes. Legend sounds interesting too, I love dystopia, but I'm 26 and fear it'll lean too young for me, despite knowing I'd still enjoy The Hunger Games if I reread it. I'll look into it ☺️

Enemies to lovers: The Witch Collector by Charissa Weaks. I was getting sick of this trope but this book.. man! It made me do an 180..

So I have a Recommendation for the Enemies to Lovers Trope and it is one of my newest favorite book series of all time. It's brand new, really, just about a year old and only two of the series have been released yet. The Series is called SAVAGE DOMINION and of all the books I have read in the last twenty years, this book has the fewest 'criticisms' of all. I like to tear apart and analyze my reads from the perspective of the reader and as an author, so this one got me from a direction I wasn't expecting. It is a new sub-genre for me it it worked out really well. This book is by a pair of authors that I'd never heard of before and I got the audiobook because my vision totally sucks. The Narrator for the audio book brought the world to life and made a good story even better. I strongly endorse this one for anyone who likes Fantasy, Role Playing, or just wants a fun adventure story that delivers on the escapism that most modern media is running dry of.

Hi there Elliot and Luna. Hey there sweet baby girl Luna. I love seeing you so much. I also wanted to tell you some news, I am now 72% into and have started reading and listening to the Last Battle chapter in A Memory of Light, WoT book 14. It is crazy, but amazing. Also, I love the Full Metal Alchemist series so much. Thanks for putting that one on your list.

Have read Warbreaker, currently reading siege & storm (Grisha 2), when you mentioned the childhood friends, my head already said it's gonna be Grisha/Shadow & Bone and it was right. I'm also reading Wuthering heights at the moment, but I have trouble with finding a character that is loveable enough to continue reading it.
@dmuse38133 жыл бұрын
You won’t find lovable in Wuthering Heights. The love in that story is toxic and passionate to the point that logic is thrown out the door in favor of emotions. Heathcliff was our first moody, brooding bad boy lover.

@@dmuse3813 you're right, I only have 88 pages to go so within 3 hours I'm done and on to some lighter stuff.

I just finished Legend! Unpopular opinion, I did not ship Day and June in Legend. I think it was mainly because I didn't like Day as a character. And I liked Anden as a character better so I guess that's why I do ship Anden and June (not hard, but prefer him over Day). Though I do agree that how the author handled Day and June's relationship was done well.
