FANTASY FILM FESTIVAL: John Boorman

Considering Zardoz get slagged off by critics for being rediculous. It has got visual brilliance even on the technology of 1974. It reminds me of the films by Jean Rollin. It is great to see even Exorcist II getting praised for its technical moments. I just feel that the sequel tried to be different but mainstream audience expectations wanted what they saw in the first Exorcist film.

My main problem with "Exorcist II: The Heretic" is that it doesn't seem to feature any heretics.

This is absolutely priceless! Why aren't snippets like this included in a beautiful retrospective disk of the film? Well, this one's obviously a VHS transcription, and whoever you are who rescued and shared it, we long-time Zardoz addicts can't begin to thank you enough!

@@thursoberwick1948 there is some dialogue about father merin’s death and how ppl thought he had comminuted a heresy. Maybe Regan is the heretic bc she has this force of evil magnetized to her because she’s actually very good- idk...

There is a missing (deleted) scene which isnt in any of the available versions which would of explained just this. Do abit of a google and you’ll find the info :)
